I was just about to say the same thing, haha. Must be the Taurus/ Pisces thing we share, hihi.

I really do as I like to keep it 'close to home', same background as much as possible.

When it comes to Europe itself, there's a lot of variety. People in the west, east, south, north all have different influences from different races. Like in the south more Moorish and thus dark, in the east Slavic, etc.

I find men in the eastern part of The Netherlands pretty danged attractive!

In all honesty though, culture and race are not what attracts me to a man. I admit there's a certain intrigue when I meet someone from another culture, especially when they have an accent, but it's who the person is rather than where he came from that is most important and what attracts me the most.

The most beautiful black women, IMO, are from Peru. Short, sweet and sensual.

I was like that in the past. I have been in some weird thing with a Balinese man, madly in love, hoping to have a future together. Turned out he was married already and only after money.
I've also been incredibly in love with an Aboriginal man. In both cases, esp the last though, I had to really really really think very deeply if I could and was willing to give up my own roots, culture and way of life in order to live with them.
And in case of the Balinese man I'd have to become Hindu, so I had to think about that too. Even though I'm not practicing RC, I did not want to become something I'm not.
I decided I couldn't and didn't want to.
No matter how happy I was with the Aboriginals in their community -seriously one of the best times of my entire life- I could not live that life 100%.
That's how I came to know that I should keep it closer to home, figuratively. I was only 20 at the time, so quite something to deal with.

Having been with a Brit for 10 years I concluded the same thing. The differences were subtle, but had big impact on us. Our roots -though both Western European- were too far apart. Certain things you can never share or understand.
So it's really based on life experience that I say, same culture only.

I'm a world traveler.
I was married to a Pollack. Then a Swede. A Hungarian. Lastly, a Mexican.
They all had their good qualities.
