Topic: Generic chatting. | |

Is it only me or do you go crazy trying to have a "generic conversation" in Mingle2 messages.
Capture my attention in one minute and I would be willing to chat. But "Hello" first message and "How are you" second message literally makes want me to scream. |

Hi, generally rates a hi in response.

It doesn't really drive me crazy, I did find it a bit annoying though when I used to respond to messages. I've yet to get a genuine message from anyone other than those in the forums, so I don't respond anymore, just delete them.

I don't think it's just you. But you are just as capable of and responsible for elevating a conversation to where you want it to be. Capture my attention in one minute and I would be willing to chat.
Maybe that's their mindset too. But "Hello" first message and "How are you" second message literally makes want me to scream.
Then scream. See what happens. |

Hey... Just chiming in here. I'm new here too . I've noticed messages that begin with "HI" generally lead to "meet me on Hangout Baby so we can talk" then drift into some very poor translation of the English language.
I'm making assumptions here now that these chicks are not local looking for dating opportunities but trying very hard to get here from somewhere else. Now a question ... Why are they breaking my Cookies with Hangouts. What is the catch with this situation that I'm missing? |

Stay on site until you meet someone genuine and have been chatting awhile. |

As there are very few men in my age group, I don't get a lot of messages.
So every "hi", gets a "hi back atcha" every "you're beautiful" gets a "thank you very much" every "you're hot" gets a laugh every message even not so nice ones, gets a laugh Today, I got a rose, so I sent a thank you and rose back and a Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas to all! |

I try to remember to be grateful and thank them (energetically), but I delete all such messages without replying or checking profiles.
I know the right guy for me -or even close to the right guy for me- will come up with something much better. |
