Eyes and smile. Then it is her hand to see if she already has a ring on.

This... unless I'm walking down the street, then I mostly look where I'm walking so I don't run into anyone or anything.

I must be unusual. I never check guys out. Only once have I gone "Wow". I was behind him in the checkout line in a supermarket. He was classy from head to toe. And kind. You could tell he was from old money, something went wild in me.
It was his looks, the look and his humbleness that took my breath away.

I don't go about 'hunting' for a guy either. But the checking out happens automatically, I think with everyone that is going to cross our path which includes women. It's not necessarily a conscious thing.

If someone catches my eye it's usually because of their overall energy, the way they carry themselves, their aura.

That's the most important thing for me, and I can also check out someone's eyes as they also reflect what a person is like (positive, negative, happy etc.).

If checking for potential mate I also register the way they act towards me.

You may be right? But honestly I stopped looking and checking people out when I was married. I have literally trained my brain not to. I don't like being checked out and I won't do it to others. I think t is disrespectful. :rose:

I'm not looking for a mate (or a GF).
When I was looking for a GF I wasn't looking 'on the street'.
I can't consider a woman a potential love interest until I meet her and see her acting natural (unscripted).

Not to say I don't notice many beautiful women in public places.
Just sayin, the potentials are women I know in private settings (picnics, beach gatherings, tailgating, firepit, private dinner parties).
Most women I have dated I have met from introductions from friends or co-workers.
I have dated a few women I met online and my current GF is someone I met online.

I'm not a desperate seeker.
I don't mind being alone (its better with someone tho).
If I am going to choose, I want to choose wisely.

Of course this could backfire too if it is in the middle of Winter and she has gloves on. laugh

So many people nowadays do their shopping, banking, other errands online & when they are actually outside they drive. It's becoming more unusual to actually meet someone "in the street". I'm live in the Bronx, so all I ever see on the street are teens and moms w/kids. My commute to work on bus and train, mostly females. If I did ever see an attractive (to me) male, I would notice his height and facial features 1st.

I'm of the mind that in most cases it's the woman that chooses the man.
I don't hunt for a mate, like some kind of baboon. Don't really notice tbh.
On the rare occasions that I notice someone ,it's the fact that she's smiling at me :) and then its the overall, holistic impression. the way they dress, carry themself, Intelligent eyes. It's the character that grabs my attention.
