Cleaning another small pile of mouse intestines off my back doorstep. One of my cats, Maggie, is a particularly skilled huntress and with the mild weather, there's still lots of mice about. Thank goodness my cats never bring me such presents, haha. I do occasionally find a dead mouse in my garden, but that's the different type that resides outdoors. But I think either one of my cats does kill 'em when they get hold of them. I'm always happy they leave frogs alone. There's quite a lot of them here, including in my tiny little pond! Once my Bramble was chasing after a regular brown frog, boy can these things scream! I told him off (the cat of course), I was not impressed, he's never done it again. |

It is in their nature to hunt and with it being semi-rural here there's plenty to hunt. Luckily, they leave most of the non-rodent life alone, although they do take the occasional small bird. Once, after hearing one of my cats tapping at my letterbox, I found him sat next to a hedgehog, looking at it and then me as if to say: "wtf". That hedgehog was a regular visitor for several years. |

Using WMM to splice my home movies into longer videos
Adding titles, transitions, snapshots, music and effects. Converting the finished videos to mp4 so I can give them to my kids and they will play on their devices (computer, x-box and playstation, also phones). |

Thanking the Universe of love and light for multiple signs I received today.
Especially the out of the ordinary one I asked to be sent: I found a ladybug on my coat. It stayed on me til I could take a picture. It swiftly flew away seconds later. A ladybug in winter and on a blustery day. I will always remember... 🖤 |

Carefully sipping coffee with a half sedated mouth. Good news and bad news from the dentist: bad news I have 7 cavities. Good news the one that bothered me most wasn't a root canal but a cavity. Phew!
6 more to go. Future prospect isn't good though. I have lots of large fillings, some very deep. That is bound to cause problems at some point. Great... I don't want dentures dammit. |

Cool! There's quite a few hedgehogs here too at the side of my garden and the green plot next to it. I had one residing in my garden one winter, underneath a wooden thingie. Sometimes I see one coming from behind my garage, through the front yard. The other day at night I even saw it cross the road to wander off somewhere there? Always funny to see them walk/run, hihi. I always call them little tanks on skinny legs. And yes, birds... occasionally happens here too. Now that always saddens me. Usually a young blackbird that they either got out of its nest in the conifers OR it fell out, not sure. |

Usually a young blackbird that they either got out of its nest in the conifers OR it fell out, not sure. It is a little sad, I agree. It's only the youngest cat, Jinx, that takes the odd bird now and then. He does that Caracal thing of leaping vertically into the air and snatching them in flight, so I suppose you have to admire the technique at least. Just cleaned up another pile of mouse intestines, this time from under my bed, where Gomez ate it after rushing in with it. Good job I'm not as squeamish as I used to be. |

Good reason to not allow your cats upstairs, haha. Mine sometimes do a sneaky, ending up in my bed or the bottom of the wardrobe. The gits! But half eaten animals... I don't like that stuff. My ex had a cat that once dragged half a rabbit indoors. The head and part of its chest. The rest wasn't there. Great! It's quite amazing they can actually really eat rabbits. Had that with one cat that kept running way. He chose to stay on a local campsite. And when there weren't people to feed him he'd chase down a rabbit and eat it And yes, the technique should be admired. It's the sheer power of nature. |
