I think many of the regular posters are here mainly here for the forums. For my part, I spend most evenings on my own and I find it helps to keep up some kind of socialization.
Only a small percentage use the forums I can only guess at why.
As River said, you can't help a little wishful thinking now and then.
And as Larsi said, you have to be realistic. Distance is a big issue..
There are one or two that I would like to meet never the less, just because lol

Meeting anybody on a site like this or Plenty of Fish, Zoosk, is very difficult because there are so many frauds. And when you do meet someone who is real and they are talking with you and know you are real, they're so afraid from the people who have tried to scam them, not to see that they're actually the same and should be together.

On the other hand, maybe they're just too blind 🤣🤪

We are here, even just for the forums, because we still hold on to the hope that we might just meet THE ONE one day. Hope keeps us alive.

Those who say they are just here to socialize, why not choose FB. After all, it doesn't matter how often the other Mingle2 members, mods and admins say that Mingle2 has morphed into a social site, it still advertises itself as a dating site.
