I agree with Susan, very interesting and I too have learnt a lot about India because of your postings.
I didn't know about the He3 mining, and to be honest, that thought scares me. I'm not pro-nuclear reactors. We got enough trouble with the danged things as it is. If we got something that makes it allegedly safer I'm sure new ones will be built. We don't even know what the hell to do with Fukushima! That danged thing is still spilling radio-active chit in the oceans, they're allowing it to go there as they cannot contain it. Great! It will affect ocean life and go up the foodchain till it ends up on our plates. No one seems to think about it anymore, no one talks about Fukushima anymore, but what happened there -a triple meltdown- is still happening, whether we choose to ignore it or not. Now, 8 years later, the whole world is affected by it, one way or another. But it's shocking to read that no US government organisation keeps an eye on radiation levels in the US? The west coast got a direct full hit from Fukushima and I think it's likely to say this is still the case. Yet the government doesn't investigate? Weird. Anywho, I'm for dismantling all nuclear plants. We don't need things we cannot control when things get out of hand. Way too dangerous. We need safe and clean ways of producing energy. But I'm hopeful and quite sure that India's technological advancement and knowledge will be put to good use in the end. I hope the French cooperation won't lead them astray. When it comes to nuclear stuff and the planet and our health I don't think highly of the French. History has proved they don't give a toss about anything and anyone, including the planet. But maybe they've learnt since. You know, I never thought about this, but actually the advancement of technology should go hand in hand with advancement of wisdom of mankind. I think that'd be the only way we would produce safe technology that serves us as opposed to creating things that can ruin us. Unfortunately I don't see this cooperation happening? As for the moonlander... really a shame they lost communication with it. What's the expectation here? Is there still a chance they will get back in touch with it? Can they find out what happened to it? |

There is a great deal of investment going on in India. not that I'm an expert, my nephew travels to bangalore every few weeks working on telecoms.
Not sure exactly what part it's playing but it all helps. |
