Topic: THE ULTIMATE IN FAKE NEWS IS CLIMATE CHANGE | |
---|---|
CLIMATE CHANGE or GLOBAL WARMING or whatever new pseudonym is conjured up for some socialist/communist policy that is designed to take more money from everyone for governments to redistribute as they see fit is all that "Climate Change" is. How arrogant are Climate Change believer to think that we are so significant that we can change the temperature on this planet. Don't you know that there has been at least 4 ice ages and periods long before human existence when co2 levels were many times higher than now, to blame mankind or us for changes in things we have literally no understanding or control over is the definition of arrogant. Green or Earth Day is a COMMUNIST creation but that kind of makes sense since his countries youth have been educated by socialist praising educators their whole lives

Didn't pay attention to Global Warming - till a recent news article on one of the rivers flowing into Punjab, India - likely to shift it's trajectory within few years due to faster glacial melting. From Science Daily . net: The Himalaya,s source of the seven largest rivers of Asia are, like other mountain chains, suffering the effects of global warming. To assess the extent of melting of its 33 000 km2 of glaciers, scientists have been using a process they have been pioneering for some years.
Satellite-imagery: Derived glacier surface topographies obtained at intervals of a few years were adjusted and compared. Calculations indicated that 915 km2 of Himalayan glaciers of the test region, Spiti/Lahaul (Himachal Pradesh, India) thinned by an annual average of 0.85 m between 1999 and 2004. The technique is still experimental, but it has been validated in the Alps and could prove highly effective for watching over all the Himalayan glacier systems. However, the procedure for achieving a reliable estimate must overcome a number of sources of error and approximation inherent in satellite-based observations. so it's not clear what's the cause but if I'm getting choked out of water I have to start with some hypothesis? |

You need to read the articles about climate change regarding Glaciers in the Himilaya's that appeared in Science News: MAY 29, 2019
Himalayan glacier melting threatens water security for millions of people Large bodies of ice are losing mass faster than they are accumulating it BY CAROLYN GRAMLING 1:05PM, MAY 29, 2019 NEWS RELEASE 19-JUN-2019 Melting of Himalayan glaciers has doubled in recent years Fast-paced warming is consistently affecting huge region, says new study EARTH INSTITUTE AT COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY Cold War spy satellite images show Himalayan glaciers are melting fast Posted Wed at 10:05pm PHOTO: The once-classified spy satellite images provide crucial missing evidence to scientists. (NRO via AP) RELATED STORY: Forget the queues on Everest, this is the real crisis in the Himalayas Cold War-era spy satellite images are showing scientists that glaciers on the Himalayas are now melting about twice as fast as they used to. The Asian mountain range, which includes Mount Everest, has been losing ice at a rate of about 1 per cent a year since 2000, according to a study published on Wednesday in the journal Science Advances. "The amount of ice [lost] is scary but what is much more scary is the doubling of the melt rate," said Josh Maurer, a glacier researcher at Columbia University's Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory and lead author of the study. but of course you are going to say it's all fake news........ |

Yes, it is.
https://www.thenewamerican.com/tech/environment/item/31873-an-inconvenient-glacier-study-shows-greenland-glacier-growing Back in the early eighties, we were heading for the next ice age. Algore & company was selling that garbage hard. Well gee willikers! It didn't happen. So what happened to global warming? It got renamed to climate change. Alexandra Cortez then started yelling about how we weren't going to survive another 12 years. Also BS. Since a good many of these so-called climate scientists just happen to be working with the government buck, what are they going to do? Say that nothing is going to happen? Why that's NOT what dems are paying for! It's all part of the dem plan to scare people. If you're worried, you're wasting a lot of time on it. |

so the editors of science news are commie bastards?? and Researchers at Columbia University?
I suppose the photos taken with the old spy satellite are taken by Commie bastards??? and the picture from the Space shuttle showing the decrease of the ice caps at the North Pole?? (those commie astronauts!! And the editors at National Geographic - the biggest commie bastards of them all !!! Wait a minute that's right - this country is being run by commie bastards POTUS being the biggest commie bastard of them all! : (ask Putin) |

Science News: MAY 29, 2019 Himalayan glacier melting threatens water security for millions of people Large bodies of ice are losing mass faster than they are accumulating it BY CAROLYN GRAMLING 1:05PM, MAY 29, 2019 "The amount of ice [lost] is scary but what is much more scary is the doubling of the melt rate," said Josh Maurer, a glacier researcher at Columbia University's Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory and lead author of the study. Seems something similar is happening to the Alps but I think, the Himalayas, being closer to the Equator is more effected. If we look at 'Glacier Melt, or Retreat' and had measurements on corresponding sea levels I think we need to check whether or not it's due from Sun's Radiation. There are scientists on the opposite side with temperature data from the Ice Age? (there was a video somewhere) So while Greenhouse effect is scary because Greenhouse / CO2 emission has a multiplier effect to incident radiation are we there yet. For example, isn't the ozone layer depleting? W.r.t. sun, we have: Solar Constant: At the surface of the Sun the intensity of the solar radiation is about 6.33 x 10 to pow 4 KW/m2 (note that this is a power, in kilowatts, per unit area in meters).
Any minuscule changes in the constant? Solar Flares: The largest flare in 12 years was observed in 2017 Came across this interesting link: https://principia-scientific.org/earth-alert-huge-sunspot-opens-scientists-brace-for-solar-flares/ Not denying Green House, but primarily is it the Sun going through a different phase? |

^^^Could be, and yes that was an interesting read. I'm going to go back and read about the "biased science" comments attached to that article.
I think sunspot activity has a lot to do with our weather, and climate. Back in grade school, I was taught that Co2, carbon dioxide, was necessary for plants to survive. Now there's claims that the Co2, is going to kill us. What changed? Did the plant change, or did the messenger decide to try and scare us? I think it's the latter. So what is their problem? They're not in charge. They can't control what others do, and it eats them up. Yeah, there's climate change. The political climate is changing and they HATE IT. |

The thing is that everything is in a flexible but delicate balance, of sun radiation warming and space cooling, co2 and other gases keeping heat in, pollution cooling the sun's radiation a bit, ozone blocking some UV radiation, other atmospheric chemicals affecting the reflecting / insulating abilities of the upper air, sea surface temps., deep sea temps., ocean current flows (like Humboldt current), regular weather activity, and many other inputs.
A bit like we animals are just a bag of chemicals in a fine balance, and when the balance is lost, things don't run so well. You may get a mass ejection. Because winds gust, and tides surge, and clouds disappear, nothing is smooth regular flowing, but constantly fluctuating over many time scales, so minor permanent changes can be disguised by short term variability, but the long term data doesn't lie. Certain numbers can be cherry picked from small data sets, but time really will tell. Some people will benefit from 'global warming', just like people benefit from war and anything they can, and that doesn't mean it's all BS, just that it can be an opportunity. The insurance companies are taking it seriously, preparing for stronger storms and damage. Countries in constant drought are taking it seriously. Pacific Islanders are taking it seriously. As serious as American politics is [ha ha], no political fools have invented or taken over climate change or global warming. It is real. AND No America, the world does not revolve around you. |

IT IS THE AMOUNT of Co2 in the atmosphere that poses a danger -plants can withstand higher amounts of Co2 in the air than humans can. If you're going to make a comment it's a really good idea to do your homework first. Otherwise you sound like you're blowing smoke just to blow smoke. |

"Nasa" space satellite images ae a good place to start -they show a decrease in the size of the ice caps at the North Pole. They also show that the hole in the ozone layer of our atmosphere has gotten larger. (though I'm sure that some people believe that the photos are fake just like the moon landing lol) They also show that Greenland's permafrost is melting. If someone needs further proof they can look st what's happening the the poor polar bears - they are starving because of the lack of ice in the sea and some believe they will probably be extinct within the next 20 years due to global warming. There was an article in the paper today about a polar bear in Russia that was found searching for food 200 miles from his natural habitat on the mainland. So sad. Here inNew England we are experiencing so called 100 year storms every 3 to 5 years. Pretty soon most of the beaches will have taken over the houses that were built next to them. and |

major Indian cities, 21; are facing severe drinking water shortages. At a time when the water level in India's major reservoirs and river basins has fallen, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday pitched for conservation of rainwater, saying there is a pressing need to make water conservation a mass movement on the lines of the cleanliness drive. It's not clear whether it is Karma hitting back because all wet lands were sold to real estate developers (therefore lower ground water levels) Or, whether it is climate change - i.e., absence of seasonal rains that normally began in mid-June. If the October to Jan rainfall (monsoon) is less this year, we had it. |

Right its a fact the world is getting hotter but the world also got hotter after the ice age but what we do is speeding it up and you should look at the real danger that is UV c everyone knows about UV a and b but look at UV c it kills DNA and its not helped but the huge amounts of CFCs that are being dumped in to the air from the mine is south Africa. If you did a bit of research in to this you will see a lot of the damage that has being done over the last few 100 years and is still happening to this day there is still chemicals that was given off back then that is still damaging then ozone layer but it is possible to recreate ozone its done by running electric through water and they was looking at sending it up to try and stop the UV cause that is the **** that will end life on is funny little rock.

Rather quite amazing that an accident resulted in the perfect balance and harmony to which you describe. The biggest laugh, is the accident, to which Hawkings was working on when he died. He calculated that Mathematically, if we were just mere thousandths closer to Sol or further from Sol life would not exist in its many forms on planet Earth. But yet, an accident just happened to calculate through gravity, electromagnetics, inertia to where Earth would exist in position so that Sol could not only initiate life, but to sustain life. Quite a miraculous accident if I would say so!! |

I should point out we are currently still in the last ice age.
Its also important to realize in the last 4.5 billion years or so, the Earth has gone thru multiple ice ages and warming periods. There is evidence in core samples, ice samples and sedimentary buildup such as lime and sandstone. One should also realize the Sun is roughly 4.8 billion years old and is rising into its main sequence phase. Yes, the Sun is getting hotter. The Earth is also slowing in its rotational period causing longer days. We can't tell because we live and die over very significant short time periods by comparison. Our entire modern science is at best, a couple thousand years in total. In other words, we are very new on the scene. Granted, our 7.7 billion population and our incessant need to pave the planet are not helping matters but I assure y'all, we are not the cause. |
