I'd heard today that they have pledges of 340 million to rebuild it. It would take five years to do the job. Not like the hundred it took originally. (They took a lot of coffee breaks) Haha, that is funny, grin. I think they worked longer hours than people do today. And I doubt they already had coffee, lol. I suppose if they'd build the way they did then it would also take 180 years. Glad they can do it in 5 and that so much money will be available to cover the cost! That's the one good thing that comes from this, as with any disaster: unity and compassion.

Bet this time around, it will be just a touch safer for the workers. Back then, they built it with gin poles, and block and tackle. Iron nails didn't exist at that time. Saws were made out of copper. I'd bet most of the lumber was cut on site. Bet this time around, it'll be built just a smidge straighter.
