Life is too short to be taken seriously.

Fun is often used instead of the word sex, I have never found sex funny

Why only 'or' ? What about fun and serious.

Messing around with danger, on the edge fun, like rock climbing, cave diving, lion wrestling, human pyramids, stuff like that.

Then:

Why not fun and serious in relationships, like messing with a biker's girl, dating a hitman's daughter, living with a lady who has an unhinged ex husband, sado masochism, serious infections, multiple personality, so many more.

Have as much 'fun' as you can, cause things can get real serious at any time.

So, if a guy has sex with a woman that has like 15-20 different personalities, is it considered an ORGY? Asking for a friend.

As much fun as possible life too short not too enjoy but there still times you have to be serious as well

I gravitate towards fun but totally at ease with being serious when warranted

How about a 3rd option: enjoying life, not the same as 'fun'

and a 4th one: interesting things that are somewhat deeper, to do with personal growth which is not grave & serious at all.

The first is not the same as mindless fun... can be good at times, but I need more in life than meaningless gags.

The second is not serious. I consider serious like never really laughing, talking about negative stuff like how grave the situation is on Earth, at work, or the ant infestation in the garden.
