All the young women recently elected to the House --- most talk without knowing anything.
The newly Democratic-controlled House overhauled a 181-year-old rule that banned hats from the floor to accommodate lawmakers who wear religious headwear. The ban was lifted in a provision included in a rules package that the House passed in a 234-197 vote The rule change to overhaul the ban on head coverings, which has reportedly been in place since 1837, now reads: “During the session of the House, a Member, Delegate, or Resident Commissioner may not wear nonreligious headdress or a hat or remain by the Clerk’s desk during the call of the roll or the counting of ballots.” The argument to lift the ban was proposed by Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) last month and later by Rep. Jim McGovern (D-Mass.) to accommodate Omar, who is the first member of Congress to wear a religious headscarf. Next thing you know we will revert to the Muslim call to prayer instead of what the United States has always done. Remember it was Obama who said "the most beautiful sound in the world is the morning Muslim call to prayer". |

Remember it was Obama who said "the most beautiful sound in the world is the morning Muslim call to prayer". Anyone who actually has ever heard the call would agree, if they put logic before fear tactics ... and the laws do not allow either or in sepearation of church, it either embraces all or none. If there is mandated prayer, there is no mandated prayer from ANY religions. |

That election mess for Congress in I think NC, sure shows how easy it would be to load an election. Voting by mail without proof of who you are may be convenient but makes room for lots of cheating.

A (wise) man once told me that "if voting made any difference it wouldn't be legal".

What country would go along with her craziness? To ban airplanes is to promote isolationism. I heard that one of the largest electric wind farms doesn't produce enough electricity to power up the New York subway system. I don't care anything about the subway systems. I worry about nature... and wind farms kill thousands of birds every day. That's because the idiots who design them put them right in migration pathways. |

and i suppose muslims DO think their call to prayer is beautiful. Personally its nothing to me as I prefer the sounds of waterfalls and bird songs. and yes, harmony, I HAVE heard the muslim "music". Every religion has beautiful parts to it.

In a CNBC interview, Anthony Scaramucci explains it as a 3 legged stool with, Leg 1 – Economy, Trump, Scaramucci says, looks at the S&P index every morning; been on the rise Leg 2 – Foreign Policy – with China and N. Korea; N. Korea has been a blinking light since 9 years - Al Gore to AS Leg 3 – Border Security His base of people are very excited about it Given the above, S feels Trump is going to be tough to beat in 2020 I agree in part because like many outside US, I don't see candidates in Blue and Red; and, as mentioned elsewhere, the reality is the Blues don't seem to have a candidate with any sharp focus on issues. This is important because of Trump's style. He thinks he is Mohamed Ali; & he is. |

This is important because of Trump's style. He thinks he is Mohamed Ali; & he is. only to his loyal followers. To others he is a has been businessman riding his glorious invisible clothes through the commoners who stand in awe. to my point, S and P, rises and declines, mostly rising for YEARS, even under OBAMA China and Korea relations, yet to be seen border security, illegal crossings have also ALREADY been on the decline BEFORE TRUmp I dont see candidates in red and blue, which is why I recognize there are competent and incompetent candidates on BOTH SIDES. And Trump, to me, is definitely in the latter, and I would feel the same if he ran Democrat. |

we seem to agree on quite a few things.., like the comparisons with Ali, who wore no clothes. And did not run for POTUS. But is a record holding boxer and greatest of his time. I am not sure what record number 45 holds, besides being the first completely inexperienced politician to hold office of POTUS. |

From the S&P chart it appears that the bulk of the lift occurred during Obama's years. - 300 to +200. Add to this the following employment figures. Clearly Obama years were good for the economy and a period of greater tranquility compared to Bush years. Hillary should've walked in to Presidency. Didn't happen... May be charts don't give us the complete story or, as in this case, the inside story. |

May be charts don't give us the complete story or, as in this case, the inside story. I agree. Also, the Presidential election is negatively impacted when the nation has such fleeting and failing education and so much emotionalism, and no real common structure, (everyone doing their own things for their own purposes) ... It is as much a game about PR as it is actual competence and ability. This time, the billionaire, thanks to a name and a reality show, had better PR. And the PR job against the Clintons had already been decades in the making. |

Get AOC to propose fitting all the birds with mini-radars!! Then they can fly round or over the wind farms..... |
