Depends where you at, I find it way easier to strike up a conversation with girls in my home country than when I travel to USA or Canada for example.

Yes, I hear about that too. It's sad and horrible that that happens.

I can understand how that would cause fear in some women, but I chose not to let those tragedies cause me to be fearful in meeting new people/ men.
