Clowns! No way! They are creepy. I'm one of those people who are afraid of clowns.

Krusty the clown is usually good for a laugh on the Simpsons. He is kinda creepy too.
There's one really creepy clown who's making amusement gut-wrenching again that I'd like to see run out of the big top ASAP. |

Hahaha, silly humans.
Clowns are a personification. If you like fake things you might like clowns. If you don't like fake things or people pretending to be something they are not, you might have an aversion to clowns. Personally, I find clowns ho-hum, nothing special. Taken at face value you might see clowns as someone that wants to cheer others. That is a form of manipulation. The person being the clown is making an assumption that you can't find contentment or happiness by yourself so they try to cause you to be happy or feel joy. That's kinda creepy in a manipulation sort of way. Then you have the established comedian that tends to make you laugh at life. They make their notoriety based on your frustration and fear. Again kinda creepy. Then you have the people that use humour to help you focus on things that allow you to feel good about yourself. I have a knack for this. My motivations for making someone laugh have no motive except to lighten your mood. In a way, that also can be kinda creepy. The reason there is a need for clowns is because people tend to take life way too seriously. If you find you have a clown in your life somewhere, you should look at why someone might think you need to be cheered? |
