walk away for now. If she wants to see someone else give her the chance. If it is meant to be it will happen.

Well I still care but she started seeing someone else but we still love each other{she has told me so} But whats to give him a chance cause he is closer. Do I keep trying to win her back or walk away and see what happens? stay her friend, try not to let it bother you she is seeing someone (don't talk about it), let her know you are there for you, and just wait. It's very hard to date someone long distance like that so unless one of ya'll are going to move maybe being friends is all you can have. |

Perfect example of why long distance does NOT work as to a meaningful long term relationship.
Must say you have one of two choices...walk away or you move to her or she move to you. if its true love, then you live happily ever after..if its not, someone just moved 5 states to find out a lesson. Best of luck either way! |

I know how you feel, I recently ene a long distance relationship. I miss him every day, I love him, but I have come to realize that it was for the best. Maybe you should ask youself, Is hteir a future with this person? WOuld one of you be willing to move closer to the other to further the relationship? What exactly is it that you want out of the relationship? Is is what she wants 2? These questions helped me. Hope it helps.

Live your life. If you are brought together again in the future, great.

Timing is everything and if true love prevails and its meant to be, it will be regardless of distance. Two committed people will find a way to make it work and be together.

you stopped seeing her?
wait... did you EVER "see" her? i dunno man...it seems very likely to never meet a person 5 states away |

I agree with ChiefPUA.
Put it this way, which statement is more accurate: Abscence makes the heart grow fonder. OR Out of sight, out of mind. Considering the 5 state difference, I'd have to say the second statement would be much more valid. If you were only apart a few days at a time, it would be different. But 5 states is a hell of a weekend drive. |

I've dated guys in NYC, Boston & Chicago. Met everyone of them and distance was not a problem.
But you gotta close the miles at some point. Was that being discussed? Did you ever get that far? |

Timing is everything and if true love prevails and its meant to be, it will be regardless of distance. Two committed people will find a way to make it work and be together. I agree with this too. I'm talking to a guy in Brooklyn .. but timing is key to not only our meeting but our being together in person, LTR. Patience has to play into it as well. I've got kids at home & can't move (altho I would to NYC cuz I love it) .. he's got some issues he needs to take care of there. I think seeing someone locally can be a welcome distraction (my case as well) but my heart is with my Brooklyn Boy. |

A LDR is a huge financial and emotional investment. If someone is willing to move then it can work. I did it and found you don't really get to know the day-to-day person doing the weekend romance thing. Good Luck.

I never thought long distance relationships were a good idea. My ex and I lived about 45 minutes away from each other and I thought that was too far...but then again sometimes I felt like it was too close, haha.

I once had a LDR, about 3 hrs away. I'm glad I didn't live to learn the daily in's and out's of his life.
