Where is that welfare griping attitude of 'working for what you want yourself'? I say we have millions who want that wall who should get off their tales and go build and pay for it then.

We also have very secure borders, not perfect, but secure in the big picture of things as far as any other country goes.

Try waltzing into China, Russia, India, Pakistan, ect, ect, ect and see what happens. Many countries you can be shot, others imprisoned.. for years.. just for entering illegally

But in America we give you money, healthcare, education... for breaking our entry laws.

No.. nothing wrong with that picture.......................

Lets discuss that, shall we.

I cant 'waltz' into China, Russia, India, Pakistan, et cetera, because they are not on this continent.

As far as continents where one can 'waltz' from one country to the next (by foot) I doubt our problems are relatively much greater than anywhere else. But we do, like other places, employ fear tactics in our politics to blow the issue up to more than it is.

What does thE continent have to do with it?

So you have to be in North America only to enter a country Illegally. ? Are you forgetting what happened in Europe? You don't think people try to enter Asian countries illegally. Really?

And people dont sneak into the countries I listed ( and many more) . For the reasons I listed.

Look it up.

it has to do with geography, people "waltz" on land because they cant 'waltz' over oceans.

to compare apples and apples would be to compare people 'waltzing' between countries on the same land mass/continent.

I did look it up, other countries have land borders as well, with the same issues of not being able to have total prevention. our situation, comparatively, is not exceptionally problematic.

Then maybe you should go live there ! Were all immigrants and most of our heritage came here with nothing and made this country what it is . And a major portion of peoples ancestors didnt have a choice to come here . They were kidnapped and brought here against there will .
Whynot try showing some compassion

People in prison have to eat too. It's stupid to give 3 meals a day to someone sitting around watching tv and call it punishment. :disappointed:

Then maybe we should lock up idiots who make whorish comments for 30 days and see if they still have the same attitude about jails and prison . Grab a brain and think about what your saying instead of the verbal vomit you only seem to spew

Not stupid, humane. Its not club med simply because they aren't being starved. they have lost their freedom, that is their 'payment'. They are living in squalor, even if they arent starving, that is their 'payment'. They are living at risk of brutal beating or death or rape constantly, that is their 'payment."

Well, actually I did live there.. in China.. for two years... worked there. So I know a bit about it. Have you lived in a communist country?.. have you?.. looking in at America.. gives you a different perspective.. And the vast majority of immigrants and ancestors were not kidnapped and taken here against their will... were they. Or are you only talking about the slaves.. is that it.. the slaves.. that is the " major portion" you speak of?

And as for compassion, I have loads of it.. for people who have to pick up the tab for these never ending illegal aliens who decide to break our law and entry.. because.. they want to. And for the families of the people murdered by illegal. And for the people victimized by the likes of MS-13

Did our ancestors rush the boarder?.. sneak in?.. did they?.. no they didn't. They stood in line on Ellis Island or spent months or years in a quarantine center on Staten Island. They came here the right way... thru our legal system.

So, don't give me that compassion BS.. O.K.

And before you tell someone to " go live there" you may want to make sure.. they already haven't done that.

Republicans have a narrow hold on the Senate. I don't know if this page is completely up to date. But a Democrat from Arizona has taken the seat of Republican Jeff Flake.

Democrat Kyrsten Sinema wins Arizona US Senate seat

http://www.npr.org/2018/11/12/667214148/democrat-kyrsten-sinema-wins-arizona-senate-seat

http://www.politico.com/election-results/2018/

With all the seats that were flipped from Republican to Democrat, Well, no sense in splitting hairs on how big the "blue wave" was. That really doesn't matter at this point. What really matters is the message that was sent by the people who voted.

Just like 2 years ago when the majority of people voted Democrat. They spoke but wasn't heard. In this election, their voices were heard. They didn't want Republicans 2 years ago. And as of November 6th-2018, they let the world know once again, they didn't want Republicans in office.

It looks to me like the Democrats got what they expected and wanted in this past election. And really, to the Democrats, that's all that matters right now. 2020, That remains to be seen.

Full list: 2018 midterm election seats that flipped

Picking up another seat, Dems ride high on slow roll of wins

"NEW YORK (AP) — No, it wasn’t a blue wave. But a week after the voting, Democrats are riding higher than they thought on election night.

As vote counting presses on in several states, the Democrats have steadily chalked up victories across the country, firming up their grip on the U.S. House of Representatives and statehouses. The slow roll of wins has given the party plenty to celebrate".
