"My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" If you are God you cannot forsake yourself. |

Normally, I wouldnt respond to such as this...Just gotta set ya straight...
When Jesus was on the cross, he was MAN...taking on your sin...and mine, anyway, when he cried out the verse your refering to, He was crying out to OUR father, GOD...Until He gave up the ghost, so to speak...He was very much like you and I, Just perfect being the BEGOTTON Son of GOD...without sin of His own. Look in Mathew, Mark Luke especially and John... |

So why would he think God had forsaken him then? |
|
|

You're also missing a very important point.....the Bible speaks of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost as three parts of the Holy Trinity. When Jesus was on the cross, he was speaking to His, AND OUR Heavenly father. Jesus was not God, he was the Son of God. VERY DIFFERENT!! My best advice to you..........READ YOUR BIBLE!! It's all right there.

Ok still no explanation for why Jesus thought God had forsaken him. |

|
rabitt i forsake myself every damn day,,,,,,,,,,,,give it a rest.......

When Jesus was taking on our sins, God could not look upon our sins, or any sin for that matter, so he had {God} turned away until the scriptures were fulfilled. Sorry but I will not respond any futher, going to bed, please read the Bible and if you need one, send me an email with an address and I will see you get one.

At That moment he was breathing his last. He took on the sins of the world at that moment which separated his body from God. But since the sin followed him to the grave, now sin had no power as he paid the price and reversed the curse with the shedding of his innocent blood.
If that is you're qualification of how you define 'proof', then you actually need to research a little before posting, seriously. Off the top of your head is not an announcement for the world. |

I'm afraid that just doesn't make sense. Once God looks away all the sudden Jesus forgets that he is there and feels forsaken? |

Intellectuals have been trying to wrap their brains around God for ages. Stop trying. Once you understand love, you will understand God. Love is not an intellectual persuit, that's why so many fail to comprehend it.

At That moment he was breathing his last. He took on the sins of the world at that moment which separated his body from God. But since the sin followed him to the grave, now sin had no power as he paid the price and reversed the curse with the shedding of his innocent blood. I make the same point to you. once he is seperated from God he forgets that God is there and then feels forsaken? |

he doesn't forget he asks why god has closed himself off to him .....to ask why somethng is not there is not to say you have forgotten it..........kinda like losing your car in a parking lot you know it's there but dammit you can't find it......
