Humm even tho I'm not looking for guys younger then I'm.. I really don't see the issue it seems it is okay for men to look for those 10 + years younger but not for women is that not kind of one sided???

again no idea what people are thinking but we all have are own preferences some prefer blondes , some not , some like a certain race, etc etc etc maybe they prefer to look in to the power of youths outlook then that of old men <shrug>

Maybe because so many, both men and women, have given up on living when they get into their later 50s and above! Anytime someone says "I'm too old for that" what it really means is they have given up on living life to the fullest.

Exactly... and even though I prefer someone closer to my age, I would block or walk away from anyone with the attitude of the OP. Choice is a beautiful thing

Age dont matter, compatibility does, to me anyway. Prefer someone close to my age, but it doesnt matter if the pieces all fit and we're both happy.

Really good replies in here. I'm thinking if this is the attitude the op is sending messages with might be the reason he's not getting any response. And it's hard enough to find someone that you connect with, age is not a deal breaker for me.

I get it the other way. My profile says I'm looking for local ladies between 40-60 (I'd like to dream something more could possibly happen, I'm 53), and all my messages seem to be from 19-23 yr olds 1000+ miles away.

Attraction is the key to understand this. Younger men are more handsome then older men. So naturally the older girls are searching for that.
