Double Indemnity (1944)
Singin' in the Rain (1952) Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956) If you want to see a hidden gem, check out Stormy Weather (1943) with Lena Horne. To be honest I enjoyed it better than Singin' in the Rain. |

Oldie but SMOKIN goodie:
"To Have and Have Not" Lauren Bacall's first movie, and of course working with Humphrey Bogart, this is where the famous line "You know how to whistle, don't you, Steve? You just put your lips together - and blow." comes from. (One survey has this as #34 on the Top 100 best movie lines). I can only imagine seeing that scene in the movie theatre, and hearing the reaction of an audience full of people when she delivers the line, and we all see Bogey's face... Almost better than "Casablanca" |

Great call R2D2...greatest antiwar movie ever!
also Rio Bravo any of the 4 Bogart/Bacall Films + Casablanca + Maltese Falcon any Hitchcock esp Jimmy Stewart or Cary Grant Young Frankenstein + Blazing Saddles |

BOGART is my favorite actor - to me he never made a bad film...
2 of my favs in one movie Tommy Lee Jones/Benicio del Toro in THE HUNTED. could watch it a dozen times. |

Animal Lover...have you gotten to see both "To have and have nots"? Subtle changes that make a world of difference in the film. Evidently after "The Big Sleep" they saw the chemistry between Bogie & Bacall so they reshot a few scenes before releasing "To have". Fun to compare the two.
