They don't go through junk yards. Some people spent their life collecting and now they've decided to sell. Some things are worth a lot of money.

There are very few shows that i like and this is one of them. i still have albums and 45s from the 70s. i kept the wrong things.

I think in antique roadshow people bring their prized possessions to get an evaluation. Pickers just go looking through junk where they find it to buy and sell.

Similar to antique roadshow ??? no people call them , cause they want to let go of stuff or they go door knocking or they have people that call around looking for hits they sometimes dig through places (barns, old houses,etc etc etc) or they get lucky and like cat said , Some people spent their life collecting and now they've decided to sell as well as some people end up with the stuff from deaths or buy a place that has stuff |

I watch American pickers and they go to a house of someone who is around 80 years old and they don't know what to do. Some guys say, I don't have family to give money to. I say, give it to charity.

Gosh I use to watch it all the time. They have an episode in a little town near me. Who doesn't love some pickin.
