Ok why do men not view the profile before they send a friend invitation? I have had several instances where I was sent a friend request that never showed up because they had already blocked me before I could even look at it. That happened to me twice today. I didn't do or say anything wrong they just changed there minds

Happens to us guys a lot. Ok maybe just me from the ladies. I take as they are just trolling to see who is still active. * shrugs*

I have a guy on POF who messages me and then blocks me from responding. He is clearly mad but I have no idea why. I finally blocked him. I don't understand why people block if they are the ones bugging you.

I declined some many friends requets since I been on here.

Men do that because I have my Filters set for messaging me.

Unfortunately that Filter doesn't work on friend request but it should.

Not that many options on Free sites like Mingle2.

Well, simply put, It's a free site. Free sites attract, scammers, fakes, weirdos, goofballs and all sorts of other wingnuts. Another type of person you will find lots of are time wasters. Mostly, Your time they want to waste. They will write you just too see if you will answer.

I know, it sounds dumb. But many of these that do this already have boyfriends/girlfriends/husbands/wives, etc. All they are looking for is attention. Once they have your attention they move on to the next. Some will even go all the way to the point of asking you out. And when you say, "Yes" you never hear from them again.

Sometimes you will see this same type pop up on a forum asking if they are dateable. Or asking questions to that effect. You can just about bet the ones you see doing this in forums, are sending out messages that they have no intention of answering.


One last thing, I've had to deal with some that read a profile and find something in the profile that they find offensive, they write to see if you will answer. Turn around and block you so you don't show up anymore in search results.

I've seen this several times on POF back when I moderated there. Men and women both do it. And some are just stalkers that are messing with you.

That's just the way it is on free sites. All free sites have this problem. Some have it worse than others.
