I've seen over my life, that the people who are the MOST serious, and the MOST genuine in the arena of human mating, are the ones LEAST likely to be perceived to be so, by those who say they are looking for that.
Because the most genuinely serous people, are also the most careful, and the least likely to make expansive promises, or to declare their choices in dramatic, romanticized visions. Think about it: the people who can most readily decide to commit themselves to happily ever after with you, are that way, because they easily decide all sorts of things. Including that they need to change their mind; and including that maybe the person they just met at the Starbucks is ALSO the True Love they've always been destined to be with. |
