Oh so many for so many reasons but would have to narrow it down to (agreed) George Carlin and Robin Williams for cerebral linguistic frolic and social commentary. wow - "cerebral linguistic frolic" never heard it put quite that way! :

Robin Williams was a favorite till he committed suicide. Now I no longer think he is funny at all. I liked Jonathan Winters, he was funny. Lucille Ball had her moments (brilliant business woman). Ryan Stiles and Drew Carey had their moments. Then there are clowns that don't know how funny they are; Like Donald Trump and most of the last 30 years of POTUS. Like ministers, preachers and priests and their dedicated followers. Like John Q Public who constantly complains to nobody and follows along like a good little sheep. Nose in phone. Like CEOs and corporate entities that think the world is theirs. Its all quite entertaining anymore.

I'd like to add Red Green and his Duct Tape adventures. Red Green’s Handyman Prayer O Heavenly Father, be with me this day for I am sore afraid I will hurt myself again. Let Thy hand guide my hammer towards the nail and away from my thumb. Grant me the wisdom to wear safety glasses. Give me patience to measure twice and cut once, or even measure at all. Let the saw blade always be somewhere in the vicinity of the line. Bless my drill bit with sharpness so that it will bite into the surface rather than dance across the countertop and fall into the dust bin with me close behind it. When using my nail gun , help me to know when to stop. Grant me the maturity to put scrrews in with a screwdriver , not a hammer. Give me the courage to change things I can, accept the things I can’t, and the good fortune of my wife not knowing I can’t tell the difference. Thank you Lord for safety chains and fire extinguishers. Thank you Lord for making my rec room look better by creating dimmers. BRILLIANT! there is little dialogue in mr bean but his acting and mannerisms bring his character to life .. I think he is very clever

George Carlin was one of my favorites! And FLUFFY! The original cast of SNL...all the Not ready for prime time players! That was when SNL was worth watching...! *sigh

Bill Burr- I am sure he rubs some the wrong way, but he has a hilarious way of speaking truth. Richard Pryor= Greatest of all time. Nuff said. Sam Kinison- Taken from us way too early. Again, I know he was controversial for his time, but that doesn't neglect the fact of how great a comic he was. Kathleen Madigan- She is a brilliant comic who can take a simple story and make is funny as hell.
