I only let them do that because every weekend----and I do mean every----he would bring them back to me like that. Hyper froma weekend of sugar and no sleep.
And Sarah is ADD, ADHD, and bi-polar among other things, so it never worked well for her either. Trying to tell her why she couldn't have it, getting it out of her system, and then it was time to go back to dad's. Vicious cycle. |

Yeah, it sucks. The sad thing is, J.R.'s 12, and his dad doesn't do it "on purpose", he just doesn't get it. He refuses to alter his own lifestyle to do what's best for J.R. and I have to deal with the fallout. Oh well, one of the oh so very many reasons we are no longer together

SuzQ? My ex is the same way. Thus little Storm (he's 13) has gained weight since his dad returned from FLA YEARS ago. I ask him to help me out & get him active.. all I get is a 'ahuh.' |

I hear ya Storm. It's a viscious cycle, his dad won't monitor his sleep or sugar intake, then he gets mad when J.R.'s behavior spirals out of control. I just can't get him to get it and I get the same uh huh response.
