I have been in contact with someone that lives quite a distance away. As a result meeting is hard and often we both feel we are not caring enough about each other.
who else has issues with this type of relationship? |

Depends on the distance, the options both have to meet regardless (time & money), how often this can be and how the future prospect is --> is one prepared to move closer to the other and/or move in together? It's not sustainable long-term if you don't.

It needs trust. Loads of trust. But eventually, you have to settle down together.

I talked with a man a few months online and then on phone! We finally met had great two days going places and eating out all over the city. I could not move 986 miles away where he lived at that time because of my work and family.
Now I try to meet men closer to my area. It is a slow process meeting serious men, who will travel but I have had few dates. NOT on Mingle2. Online long distance relationship usually fail if you don't meet. And maybe even one party move!!!! |

I know. Life is not easy, love is not easy. But being nice might be a good start. Though sometimes, bad experiences from the past make us suspicious, and we are not open for something new Yes fight or flight i am skeptical because of my past and a long distance relationship made it double. To all who wish to have this kind of relationship its no different from an actual one in terms of real communication, honesty and commitment. The core of your belief of how the person is and why you fell in love with them in the first place should always be there to keep that relationship going as it keeps you fighting for that love and goal to be together.
