Ah here it is again
The beautiful morning sun
With it comes the promise
Of easier times
Maybe not today
Tomarrow
Or even the next
But very soon
Somewhere along the way
I lost sight of the fact
That even though the journey
Through life can be frustrating
And sometimes lonely
Each day we are given
Each breath we draw is a precious gift
That we must give back one day
Dark times have fallen
Soon they will fade
I've forgotten that
Anger and sadness
Left me blind to all the love and hope
That friends have wrapped so tightly around me
Time after time I pushed them away
After I finally turned back
I expected to see nothing but cold emptiness
But there they were
Wearing patient smiles
As if to say
We knew you'd come back
Only then was I awakened
To the gift that life truely is

This was written for all the true friends who have supported me through the difficult times you know who you are
