Hi, need some help here for a "bud"of mine. The "Bro" got entangled in a
Nigerian Dating Scam. Now he is a pretty "hard head" needs every bloody
thing in writing. So I am asking anyone on this one for help...
The "BrO" does not believe what I am telling him...
So what I do need now is the angle/action, the scam, the operation the
whole nine yards in order for him to read this from anyone on this
panel. So he finally can see with his own eyes on my machine what the
deal is.
Thanks to anyone and everyone.
Peter

you can go on the net and search for internet scams and find a letter
that is just like the ones hes getting. I fell into the Russian women
trap once and thats how i found out the truth.

Check out this yahoo group- romancescams

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/romancescams/

It is a great support group and you will read some very sad stories of
people that lost thousands of dollars to these scammers. It has
pictures of the models the scammers use for there profiles. Thankfully
I found this site before I was almost scammed.
Hope this helps.

I have found that there are sites that actually register some types of
scams, like "be a benefactor of soand son who left xmillions of dollars
and does not have a live heir." Find out the site and check to see if
there is a scam reporting site for it.
Sometimes I look at the .xxx (dot xxx) after the link and if it is
unknown or suspicious looking, I simply don't open it.
Tell him to be cautious in giving out personal information and credit
card information. They are ways hackers use to steal identities - and
from a nation in turmiol, much more.
I just uploaded the latest Internet Exporer software and it has a
Phishing filter for site like that, don't know how it works but it says
that it will identify phathom sites...Maybe searching in the
microsft.com site you can find something, or maybe some one that works
with computers and programming of computers can help you- I know there
are some in this community..
Good luck.

Peter, did your buddy friend check out the romancescam yahoo group that
I mentioned above? I wrote that message hoping you would pass that info
to your bud (friend).

Peter.. most of those russian things are scams.. last year one of my
friends found a 'woman' in a yahoo chat room.. come to find out, a few
days before he was going to send like 2000 dollars to 'her' so 'she'
could get a plane ticket and stuff... she was a guy.. we looked him up
on the web and he's scammed many people
