Topic: Solve this!!! | |
---|---|
A man had a dog, a duck, and a bucket of corn. Due to the thunderstorm he took the shortcut home. He forgot that he had to crawl through a small culvert along the shortcut. The dog would not crawl through the culvert no matter what the man tried. The man has to crawl through the culvert carrying only one at a time. He can't take the dog lst because the duck will eat the corn. He can't take the corn 1st because the dog will eat the duck. So he takes the duck 1st because the dog will probably not eat the corn. The man then crawls back through the culvert for the dog or the bucket of corn. The man now realizes that if he takes either of them over that while he is coming back for the last one something is going to get eaten on the other side. The man figures out a way to safely get all three to the other side in only three trips. CAN YOU???

duck first then go back for the dog. drop off the dog, and grab the duck. take the duck back and drop him off again, grab the corn drop off the corn. go back for the duck. wait....thats 4 trips.... ok, you have to email me the solution. ....unless the dog is carrying the bucket of corn around his neck!... yeah, SOMEONE needs to email me the answer or I will go nuts! |

OOPS That is four trips. Now you got me confused.
Take the dog through the culvert, grab the duck and take it back, grab the corn and drop a few pieces of corn as he goes through the culvert so the duck will follow.

Okay. Get your thinking caps on.
A man wants to take a two mile trip, and average 60 mph. The first mile, he only goes 30 mph. How fast will he have to go in the second mile to average 60 mph for the whole trip. Hint: The answer is not 90 mph. |

ok well i don't wanna get 2 in a row.... so i will let someone else figure this one out :-)
