I just heard that my childhood hero passed away today. Robert Craig "Evel" Knievel is gone. I remember having his whole action set back in the late 60's or early 70's.
He and G.I. Joe were an unstoppable force at my house. When Joe needed help, Evel was there to answer the call. I almost broke my back when I was 15, trying to fly like he did on my 400. Love him or hate him, he was the Greatest at what he did. May he rest in peace. |
