Man, they just showed a couple that had evacuated from Florida. A semi hit them and their camper went up in flames not far from here while on their way back. They weren't hurt, but their camper is gone and their house is red tagged.

Yesterday I saw the temperatures around the US, Everyone seems to be having a heat wave right now. Can't wait for it to cool down.

I just found out that one of my bosses lost her home. She wasn't there, thank God, but her small trailer is gone. I feel terrible for her. My place isn't livable, but I still have a lot of my things... I think!

It's a good thing I'm on these medications or a guy at the brake shop would be minus a few teeth. Jerk was from Michigan, wish he'd go back, but the TV was showing stuff from down there and they were talking about rebuilding and this arrse hole made the comment that the government shouldn't help. That they should deem areas that flood and get wiped out by Hurricane's and such as uninhabitable and not allow people back in. It was all I could do to bite my tongue. I left and went to the pawn shop next door before I went off...

There's a lot of damage at the resort I work at, they were able to access it yesterday. It will be a while before I can get back to work there.

I told the HR Director that I would be willing to be part of the clean up crew if it's allowed. They have to have contract workers, so I don't know if they will let employees help with it. Liability and insurance policies may prevent it.

Well what are you going to do to live?

The owners are compensating us for time loss, and we can either transfer or collect unemployment until the repairs are done.
