I have posted this before and I will say it again, there is no us and them in the human family. We are all human, regardless to location, language, religion, background, nationalality, etc ..... We are all a world family of humans

Sadly, adj, you are correct in that some humans have not grown past their bigotry, prejudices, closemindedness, to see the bigger picture. Hate full thoughts lead to hateful actions. Hate and prejudice comes from all sorts of origins, religion teaches it, families teach it, races teach it, societies teach it, etc........, it is not right but it continues due to ignorance. When people stop looking at others and using the hateful thoughts they were taught as fact, then it will change. I try to not judge or make fun of any human for their differences to me, their differences being as subtle as body type or weight, this is an accepted prejudice, fat, people run these people into the ground, making fun of them and perpetrating hate against them all the time. This is one of many many prejudice acts accepted by people against other people. All are hate and a crime but it goes on and on. Until humans stop doing this to each other there will be crimes of small and great magnitude.

Disagree with the whole concept...in every facet of life wether it be in family, business, relationships etc....Insiders know more about what is happening in their prospective enviroment then outsiders. Corporate managers, employees etc know more about what is happening and why then outsiders, Family members know more about their siblings, relationships, abuse etc then outsiders...I could go on...but you should catch the drift.
All said and done...I'd still rather be an insider

Any therapist will tell you that when you are in the middle of a situation, you are so very clouded in your thinking that you cant see the whole picture. Feelings, the way you have been taught in your thinking, clouds the problem.

This is why ppl see marriage councellors......

And the funny thing is......maybe the "outsiders" read alot more than what the propaganda on your tv is telling you!!!

And I seen alot of propaganda on tv when I lived there.

Gypsy..therapists, counselors..family or corporate have to first "step into" these peoples lives, or situations first..before trying to "council" them or try to give them a different course or "perspective". They spend days, months, even years studing these situations before making any recomendations, diagnosis or what have you. Now If some foriegner comes here and stays about a year or so and then tells me what he likes or what we should change...then I see an "outsiders" point of view might be helpful. But in the same context I would never assume I would know more about what another country should do..kick out their President, Prime Minister or any such thing If I had never lived there.

I almost took a job with Border Patrol tho, not because I want to keep people out, but at $15 an hour, carrying guns and driving humvees around in a dessert sounds like alot of fun

Serchin, regardless to all that you mentioned, even counselors have basic rules that apply universally. Mutual respect, empathy, role reversal, speaking from a place of love and respect, etc..... those rules apply regardless to the situation and this sometimes is the MAIN problem in the situation. Respecting others lifes, views, perspectives, etc.....is paramount in any HUMAN situation and event no matter where, what, how, why, etc...... We are a world community and others have a say about what happens to other humans, period. No offense intended of course.

Serchin........how do you know that the posters from other countries have not visited or even lived in the USA before???

I think just about all the posters who have a different opinion than most of the americans on this site have....
