If you meant you exchanged messages and then the other stopped replying to your messages. Then it could be that person is no longer interested in getting to know you. Move on.

If you meant you sent the person several emails and no answer, then no answer means - Not Interested. Again, move on.

It's been a looooong time since I wrote a post in the forums, but after seeing two threads on this subject, a whim took over me...

Truth is, a) there are plenty of inactive members of this site, and b) there are a plethora of fake profiles produced by spammers and scammers.

I don't wish to discourage anyone though. Quite the opposite actually. The fakes are easy to spot. I've reported dozens of them to admin myself, and over 95% of them have been deactivated. Once you've been here awhile, you'll pick up on the patterns yourself.

Also, the best way to meet someone on Mingle is here in the forums. The fakes usually just start a thread, then never post again. So if you regularly interact with members in the forums, you can be about as sure as possible that those active members are the real deal. Plus you actually get to know those people, giving both sides a chance to size each other up. Many of those who do connect here on Mingle have done so *because* they met in the forums. That's what makes Mingle work.

So don't be discouraged by non-replies. If nobody's home, it's not your fault. Just move on to greener pastures where the neighborhoods don't seem so deserted -- i.e., the forums.
