After one day, you're having so many problems? Good luck.

There now.. you go back and sit in your recliner and I'll get your pipe and slippers. Somethings take effort.

It is but don't over do it. No more than one hour day surfing. Get out of the house and do the things you love to do. One more thing, read The Law Of Attraction.

Joined online dating for the first time n it feels like so much work. Exausting If you substitute the words "Became employed" for "Joined online dating", then it would be just you. But good luck! |

If you are looking for a relationship, then you will have to work on it. If you find yourself in a relationship, you will have to work even harder. It is all a matter of how important things are to you.

Joined online dating for the first time n it feels like so much work. Exausting I think I understand. When most people first think about doing something like mate-hunting online, they jump straight to the assumption that it will be like shopping online: go to the site, tap in a short list of what you want to "buy," then peruse the list of available "products" and make your choice. But actually, it's more like you ARE one of the "products," and you are trying to advertise yourself in such a way that you can get one of the OTHER "products" to want to make a trade of sorts. And that's complicated even more, by the cheap knock-off "products" and scam "products," and the people who are taking "put your best foot forward" past the point of cheerful positivity, and going well into the realm of "promise the moon, hey, maybe they wont kill you when they find out it's just a corner dumpster." Not to mention, that the only part of the insanity and drudgery of "regular" dating work that you get to avoid, is that the people who advertise themselves, usually are actually looking for someone. You don't have to GUESS whether or not someone is on the prowl. They may be lying about how "single" they are, but at least they are actively looking. |

mmmmm and God forbid you are looking for that intangible 'thing'
that goes beyone a few pics of somebody sitting on a bike that may or may not belong to them or holding up a fish they caught on a fishing trip ten years ago or petting a dog they no longer have.. you scour profiles looking for that spark of humor, wit that gives you a clue as to what this person's real personality might be would the conversation ignite into a full blown out discussion of everything under the stars or fizzle out before the salad course was done? |

I was thinking of simplifying my efforts and maybe gettin' me one of them there mail order brides...but I figger they must be rather small in order to fit in the envelope.. You've hit on what it appears some new members think, Tombraider...that this site is some sort of girlfriend store. |

Perhaps you are hoping for too much too soon? I hope you persevere and accept that these days you need to be patient and it may take a while, hope that helps :)
