So when I'm looking at who's online, it's all females. is there anyway to get the men up there? same thing happened in local but I found the filter to fix that one

YES. Click on Account, then Edit Profile, Then General. Then change that you are a woman looking for a man.

The Phone App has been messed up for a while best to make all changes with a desk top or laptop instead of your phone...It will then hold what ever your changes are that way..
