where did you get this, your own words? very interesting good post. It's a wise little saying that has been floating around the internet for many years. As far as I know, no one has ever sited the original author of this wise little saying. Just google the saying and you'll see what I mean. |

“We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.” Teilhard de Chardin quotes (French Geologist, Priest, Philosopher and Mystic, 1881-1955) This is one I found, that accredits this saying to someone... Sweet! Thanks Jess! I appreciate you taking the time to figure that out. From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pierre_Teilhard_de_Chardin Fr. Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, S.J. (IPA: [pjɛʀ tejaʀ də ʃaʀdɛ̃]; May 1, 1881 – April 10, 1955) was a French Jesuit priest trained as a paleontologist and a philosopher, and was present at the discovery of Peking Man. Teilhard conceived such ideas as the Omega Point and the Noosphere. And here is The American Teilhard Association homepage... http://www.teilharddechardin.org/ Very interesting... at least I think so. |

My pleasure, LadyValkyrie
I have lived by that statement for so many years, it feels that I was born with that encrypted in my dna.. |

Yes, I too beleive that we are just passing though.
I never could understand the limited thinking that we continue on after death but didn't exist before we were born. I've always felt that our spiritual nature is either truth or not. If it is, then why would it be single-ended? |

Death, where is thy sting? If you live in Christ then to die is gain. Wwweeeeeeeeee!!!

Death, where is thy sting? If you live in Christ then to die is gain. Wwweeeeeeeeee!!! I guess that's one way to look at Pierre Teilhard de Chardin statement. However, I don't believe that his statement is specific to any one Diety, but rather just acknowledges that we are spiritual beings. |

WOW
I am so glad that so many of you enjoyed and belive this quote as I. And as you can see in above posts no I did not write this but found it to be a true statement in my life. Waiting to go to my mansion in Glory May all be blessed and thankful |

I wanna be a spiritual being too, but I just can't make my mind beleive it! oh- did I say that? (multiple Personality, gets me once in a while) I do like the quote, mostley because of the author, shows me that spiritual beings are not limited in their focus. |

That is what I believe as well... Thanks.
but sometimes I wish I could remember what else I was... Maybe my current mind isn't capable of comprehending my last *me*?? |

I swear my dog was a zen monk, in her last life, and she has chosen to be bodhisvatta...and kick my butt closer along the Great Wheel. |
