well i'd suggest another evocative mood song since that vibe is working for you now - if they aren't asking you to do different styles or anything. will it be the same or different judges?

you may want to select something that you sing for yourself a lot so you will be especially comfortable and will already have a natural interpretation...

i'd also suggest you have a trusted friend listen to a few of your possible selections to let you know what is working best for you at the moment.

Im not scared of the singing part...Im not very good at the stage presense part...

Good question...I dont know if it will be the same judges or not? I think so, maybe more for the finals?

I think I should do a song that other people cant do. I am good at ballads that have incrediable vocal ranges and holding long long notes. But Im not sure what song would be best!

Maybe a slower song like "Where would you be?" by Martina McBride (That is harder song) !

BUT would a slower song bore the judges? Or sacrifice my stage performance?

k - jmo - ballads are best. more interpretation. never boring if the sentiment is good. also shorter is better. they will be looking for that "hair-raising" feeling not endurance!

here is a fave - My All - easy song - but SO HARD to pull off because Mariah OWNS it. but what an example of interpretation.

Katie youtube is a good teacher for stage presence. Look at some of the performances and emulate how they move on stage. The main thing is to look like you mean the words you are shouting out. Pick a person in the audience and sing to him and it becomes more real and accepted as a good performance. Starring dtraight ahead and singing is a poor performance. Get into it and belt it out!!

Congrats!!!!! Find a song that means alot to you...when it comes from the heart it really shows
