I suspect the man was a bit "off" before the sandwich incident.

They don't just one day " see the light" and start taking self imposed " time outs" in the corner as opposed to shooting up house.

Maybe media isn't reporting enough relevant information and just throwing a bunch of emotionally titillating crap at the wall in the hopes enough people will click on a headline so they can get paid by advertisers.

All of which can easily be written as "Blackwell, who is not legally allowed to own guns because of prior assault convictions, was charged with attempted murder, assault, and various firearms violations, because he shot at his wife through the floor after he became angry."

IMO that is a huge difference from "man fires shots in house due to wife biting his grilled cheese."
