thanks candio. jake is 14. my son is 10. my brother is a vet and is going to put him down when it is time, but we aren't telling the kids that b/c they wont understand and may be mad at him. I agree with you the kids wouldn't understand just yet. Someday they will. You are doing the right thing. My ex wouldn't put our dog down, poor pup suffered with cancer. Was blind, couldn't smell, and could barely walk in the end. It did make the passing a little easier because we were happy he wasn't suffering anymore. Your kids will grow from this experience. |
