Are members using their real name on Mingle? Are members using their real picture on Mingle? Are members using their real age on Mingle? The reason I said this is because I tried to do a background check on a member I was really interested in and his name didn't come up.

Some are using 100 percent info, but not every one. Personally I use my real picture and age. Not my real bday but close enough to get my real age. I usually don't give out real name and etc. Unless we meet in person in a public place. Good luck on your search. |

A person's username is usually a pseudonym, unless the person says otherwise. |

Well personally my name is part of my Mingle ID but I'm not going to spell it out because I'm trying to avoid identity theft. I am the only one in my profile picture and the age listed is my real age but truthfully I really don't care if people think my profile is fact. Like my profile says I'm not looking for anything other then entertainment.

But I say, never trust the online background checking, because not all info you read are true. There are many identity theft , some sites are also stealing a member's profile, other's for security reason don't reveal their true names or self, they hide in privacy. You can't blame people , everyone has their own reasons. If you want to get to know the real person, establish friendship with him, and when you are both comfortable with each other then try to ask for a cam to cam conversation. But be careful of those who will show up in just a few seconds and the mic doesn't work well for they might be using a video of other people. I have encountered that before, he was a scammer |

A background check? ... Are you looking for a date and potential partner or a criminal?
Maybe in the States it is necessary to do something like that, but still... that's sad. |

I always ask a lady for her vital statistics.
Like my bread, I like them medium sliced, not too thin or thick but a nice handful. |

Part of my username is my nickname...as for putting personal info on a website not going to happen. My pics,my age...my words of a blurb about me yes. Heck Pancho didnt get my real name for about 6 months not that I was hiding it from him just didnt think about it. On the Internet a person has to be careful. There is way to much identity theft out there. |

Why do people lie about there names and lie about where they live to? Why lie? Craigslist springs to mind but also there are people that don't feel that they are attractive enough to secure the deal with the person they are attracted to as well as everyones favorite Scammers. |

Ok, I have no idea how to go about this, is the internet, be careful and safe above all, have fun, if it smell bad, do not eat it, follow your intuition. My mother was special, thank the Lord she did not call me Cheerios. Now, a background check, really, my advise, if I may, I will stop messaging before even think about doing a background check. Be safe. |
