Topics should never be deleted. Period.

When we can not have conversation and debate on any subject, we are all screwed.

Things are not always pleasant but unless we are able to debate and have our voices heard, we can not move forward.

i guess you could restart the topic. that political discussion could go on forever. it goes so deep. there are things that will never be uncovered. it may not even be conspiracy, just human nature/the nature of power.

Yes, a petition could be construed as "mass censorship". However, it depends on the focus of the petition.

What most don't realise is that there's a serious problem with limiting free speech. The problems don't go away if you can't get them out into the open and discuss them freely.
This may be a dating site and not the best place to debate politics or religion but I'd rather know as much as possible about someone I was hoping to meet or date. I wouldn't want to wake up someday next to someone speaking in tongues and handling any snakes around the house other than my own! Especially if they voted for Georgie!
Censorship doesn't do anyone any good. If you limit freedoms in any way all it does is keep things simmering below the surface until it explodes. Better off to have people let off some steam once in a while without fear of persecution rather than having to suspend or ban individuals.
We're all better off knowing who's who right from the beginning, no holds barred. One way is to let them speak their mind.

I didn't delete anything.. I voted to keep it.. I barely ever delete a post unless it is entitled "Any hot ladies/guys wanna chat? I am looking for someone to get with to show me things" That is ridiculous posts.. I vote to delete those silly things...

I think that a lot of people forget that this is primarily a dating site.

The heavy handed debating style of a few of the people on here is actually necessary.
