I'm tired of trying to talk sense into those who would willingly give our country away.

Blleeding hearts--Defending the lawbreakers that aren't even from this country, while throwing insults at law-abiding citizens. Just another day at JSH, I guess.

Well, enough of trying to convince the unintellegible. I'm off to bed. Gotta go to work(that means job to you bleeding hearts ), so I can make money. You know, wages--wages that they take taxes out of to help support the illegal aliens in America.

Hey, if I'm supporting them, can I claim them on my income tax return(that they don't have to do, 'cause remember folks, illegals don't pay taxes ).

The US government has tweaked its terminology in referring to the nearly 11 million Americans who face a constant struggle with hunger to refer to them as people with "very low food security".

According to a report released this month by the US Department of Agriculture, roughly 35 million Americans had difficulty feeding themselves in 2006 and of those some 10.8 million went hungry.

But unlike last year's report on hunger in America, which labelled families who don't get enough to eat as having "food insecurity with hunger", this year's report referred to them as having "very low food security".

knox, I already told you the illegal and legal part is not the base of the issue. If our government had been enforcing the laws on the books in the first place the problem would barely exist. But even saying that, if there are 11 million illegals as the reports say, which, I always have to question the reports as inaccurate but even if it is that many, Los Angeles has 11 million people living in the city so there are enough illegals to populate one large city in this huge nation. Come on, you have to realize that one city in our nation is not a MAJOR problem of mass proportions that is bringing our nation to it's knees!!!! Come on, man!!! Propaganda is a b*tch and I will say it over and over and it really screws up those who have an existing desire for it to be true.

Its an estimation and the estimation says there are betwee 12 and 24 million illegal immigrants in the US!

12 million is allowing for mistakes and is the lower end of the estimate!

In NC alone they have estimated over 500 thousand, and those have cost NC taxpayers 997 million dollars last year alone!

This year they estimate the illegal population here, in NC, to surpass 750 thousand, very likely to exceed 1 million!

We here in the US have hungry/homeless/needy children that should be taken care of above all else. Children that were rightfully born in this country.This country that is rightfully theirs. Children that don’t deserve to come even second. We have persons with learning disabilities that could use a little extra help.
We have criminals that should be doing the work the immigrants are doing to earn their keep in prison. There are single parents (of all races) out there in OUR country that have roots born and buried here that struggle every day to feed themselves and their children that deserve more than this country gives. We can’t save the world and all who think we can are ignorant and should be educated on what the priorities of this country should be. We didn’t create their world it’s not our job to fix it. There are people waiting to get into this country LEGALLY and may never have the chance because we have so many problems with the ones that are getting in illegally. I have friends, acquaintances, and I know many people of all races, nationalities, and backgrounds but they got here because but they were born here due to their ancestors blood sweet and tears or they got here LEGALLY.
Those who think that we are all set in the US should go spend a week in a homeless shelter or sleep on the streets for a couple of nights in a BOX and then ask them who should come first. When I left my husband I went five weeks and four days without gas or power in the winter with my children before the government would do anything to help. And when they did it was very little and then we spent three weeks in our car that same winter, all this while illegal aliens were nice and warm on public assistance in a nice warm dwelling. HOWS THAT WORK? Those that can’t answer should try it.

I will not, my good sir, buy into your propaganda and hatemongering. The legislature has been spending far too much time on this issue when all that needs to be done is enforce the laws that are there and move on. Do what needs to be done for the illegals here and move on. It is simple and non-controversial. It is not and will not ever be what you make it out to be. Something that is going to bring this wonderful nation of ours down. It will not. You are pushing too hard for it to be something it is not.

Marci, I will repeat this and this was posted earlier, dispite popular belief illegals do not receive any help from our government, ZERO, ZILCH so you are DUPED also by the propagandist who make you believe this stuff. IT IS A LIE THAT ALIENS RECEIVE ASSISTANCE FROM OUR GOVERNMENT THEY ARE NOT ELIGIBLE!!!!!I worked for the social services for years before this became and issue and we gave illegals NOTHING!!!!!!

Illegal aliens are not eligible for benefits of any kind from our government, I am repeating for those too hard headed to hear the first time. NOTHING.....EVER!!!!!!

Not necessarily just public assistance but the money the crimes take up. The money that is spent in any way shape or form on someone that got into this country illegally ie. Medical, food, clothing, shelter is money that could be better spent in the American citizen whether it be an Irish, African, Ethiopian, French, or German family that got here legally yesterday or thirty years ago. If you or I do something illegal we are punished in some form. I’m not saying punish them for being here, just sent them back. No one ever will change my views in this because I have seen too much that should not have been. And it’s still going on. And I’m not trying to be a ***** about this but we have all gotten to where we are today via different paths.

I live in New York and Governor Spitzer wants to hand out drivers’ licenses to illegal aliens so that they can be kept track of . Imagine that.

Fanta, thanks for the info, too bad that many want to attack you personally as if you were the one responsible for the numbers. All I can say to them is there are none so blind as those that refuse to see. It is time that America woke up and realized that many of the Illegal Aliens who are in this country are not benign migrant workers and gardeners, they are hardened criminals. If pointing out that fact gets me labeled a biggot that's life. At least I am an equal opportunity biggot, I hate everybody that commits a crime regardless or race, creed, color, gender or nation of origin.

I have a radical idea, let those in favor of unlimited illegal immigration foot bill for all of it. Then we will see how many of the bleeding hearts are willing to stand up and put their money where their mouth is.

Maybe they think we are ignorant because it seems on the outside that we actually voted him in. I still have doubts as to his true presidency.

I am not one of those who thinks we are all set. Far from it.

However. I have spent time on the streets. Much longer then a handful of days too. Without help from any organization, government agency or individual. I lasted for a ridiculous period of time in some harsh elements. More then a few nights huddled in a doorway, or sleeping on a heater vent. Mostly in a makeshift shelter I put up in a park on the edge of downtown, away from all the other people on the street. Until someone did reach out to me, when I was half dead. It wasn't a government agency.
They helped me get back on my feet and I gratefully repaid them with 3 years of my occupational life.

So yes, I do have an intimate knowledge of what it is like. I placed many homeless families into safe houses and shelters during my service. Fed as many as 600 people daily. Talked with and counseled probably thousand's. I saw people of all ages die in ways that ranged from exposure and starvation to stabbing and gunshot. Just while I was employed there, 4 of my coworkers died untimely, and a few violent deaths. There are more then a few out there that are capable of biting the hand that feeds them.

The disenfranchised are all colors and shades of color in this nation today, and they get there for a variety of reasons.

By my experience...Very little of it has to do with our immigration issues.

They just make an easy target.
