I think too often, people equate "romance," with grandiose gestures of love.
Real romance comes from wanting to spend time with the other person. Talking, listening, touching, kissing. Sharing thoughts, ideas, fears, and dreams. Getting to know the other person inside and out, to the point of predicting how they will react, or feel about something. Even if you are doing something fun, without them, you miss them and look forward to being together again. When you are with that person, it feels like two have become one. So romance becomes doing little things that let the person know you love them. Make coffee for them in the morning. Give them the bigger donut. Tell them they look great when they really look like death warmed over in the morning. Give them words of encouragement, and let them know you believe in them. Texting or calling randomly just to say, "you were on my mind and I wanted to let you know." I'd take those things over flowers any day. |

I'm romantic. About a month ago there was a meteor shower all night. Guys don't like that, so I slept outside alone to watch it. It could have been romantic. Men thought I was weird. I think that is cool! Seems like something some guys might like... |

Called to know what's up, watched her sleep through the night, (that's about the only time I got to smile like the fool that I was for the love of her looks without intrussion), did some domestic stuffs together, run arnd like kids and yes plus the fights and apologies, that's about how romantic I was, hmm, I know some b expecting I did some car shopping to add to it all, maybe she expected that too guess it ain't romance if money didn't buy it this days.

If I was a princess charming, how would you show me your love? with every day actions. I think being romantic is not something that needs to be " shown". I think it is something that comes regularly. Like covering her when she falls asleep on the couch. kissing her goodbye when you leave for work as she sleeps. taking her out for dinner just " because". Buying her that thing she has had her eye on.. when she didn't know you knew. stuff like that. |

I would have you sitting on my lap holding you tightly on the hotel balcony in Banff Alberta over looking the crystal clear waters of the Bow River. Having you lay your head gentle back on my shoulder looking at the snow covered mountain peaks. Quietly listening to music by John Denver "Sunshine on my Shoulder makes me Happy.Having Room service providing you and I supper with the main entre of Arctic Char, and finishing up the evening with a lovely glass of white wine. Knowing that the next day together we would venture off to do river rafting, horse trail riding or a nice hike on a trail,or visit the Whyte Art Gallery if the weather was unsatisfactory.
