why is it that it is so hard to tell a woman that she is gorgeous without her saying that she isn't or worse that she is ugly?

It is because our past boyfriends have treated us like shi* and made us feel ugly. The more @$$ holes a girl has dated, the uglier she feels.

just remember this... when a lady asks you does this dress make me look fat.... always respond you make that dress look good

Also remember women do not want to be valued for their appearance alone. Stating she is beautiful before getting to know her may send the wrong message. The fact that you are talking to her tells her you find her attractive. Save the compliments for later.
