Assuming forever exists, and assuming the universe is 6,000-10,000, or 13,700,000,000 years old (depending on if you're religious or scientifically inclined), then the probability of you finding love in your approximately 80 years of human existence in this universe is extremely small.

Seems smarter to believe you pick someone to build/develop "love" with and work really hard to keep it alive for as long as you can, than wait for some chance moment in "forever" to bring it to you.

Gone for a vacation to Hawaii.

I think your right 99% but for us who are reserved and don't approach strangers in the street in aims of getting aquainted with gives us a chance or rather hope to find someone to love and be loved by.
