Why make your life miserable? I was in a similar situation with my best friend. She'd hooked up with a narcissist, although neither of us knew at the time. I knew when I met him. I couldn't stand being around him. I've gotten allergic to narcissists, the way they behave, the things they say. It literally makes me sick.
Whenever we wanted to spend time together the b@$t@rd made sure he was going to be there as well. And I knew I couldn't bear it. Wouldn't. If she chose to be manipulated by a narcissist, so be it. I can't. Not again. I was too glad to not have a narcissist in my life anymore.
I just told my friend. I was honest, told her how I felt and that I just couldn't do it, couldn't handle it. And she understood.
So we didn't see each other, only got in touch via phone, when he was wasn't around.

They recently broke up so I have my friend back. Had she stayed with him ... well, we wouldn't have see each other anymore. People sometimes disappear out your life. You got to learn to accept that.

You simply respect your friend's choice and either put up with it or -if you can't- wish her all the best and part ways.

And remember ... like my friend totally understood, wasn't upset ... that's what real friends do, if yours doesn't, you can question that too. She expects you to stand by her no matter what, yet she doesn't do the same for you???
