I just started watching this, and its awesome. I have gone through almost all four seasons in about two weeks.
It was actually created, written and produced by one of the founding members of Delta Force..... |

To bad I just found out about it recently. I think it was one of the best cast and written shows I have seen. Just like the other two shows I got into that were cancelled Alcatraz and the Following. In a way it was hard for me to see Dennis Haysbert in the show though, I kept thinking about him in Major League for some reason. I have about 7 episodes left until I hit the series ending. I wish maybe they would reconsider picking it back up, but that never happens! |

you never know these days.. it's like they're scrambling for ideas for new shows.. and remaking a lot of oldies.. if you wait long enough.. it could come back!
not sure I saw anything about the Alcatraz show.. but the following?? watched one episode and was not impressed with the story-line so.. moved on.. most shows today are loosing me.. so repetitive and mundane.. even the new ones aren't intriguing enough.. Hollywood sorely needs an injection of 'new imagination' |

Hollywood sorely needs an injection of 'new imagination' The Following took me a couple to get into. You really don't understand what is REALLY going on until about the 4th or 5th episode. Alcatraz is awesome and a lot of fun to watch. I am kind of glad they didn't make a 5th season of The Unit. They did have a outline of Season 5 that the studio rejected and it's up on the internet. Brown was going to be critically injured and paralyzed in the first two episodes and then goes to work for the CIA as a Unit spy. Garheardt goes to Officer School and leaves the Unit. Jonas leaves the Unit to go be with Molly and Grey becomes commander of the Team (and his new marriage was going to be strained because of his new wifes independence and not able to follow along with the Unite wives) with all new recruits (Bringing new actors in). It would have been a completely different show they said. I am guessing that is why it didn't get renewed, it had solid ratings all 4 seasons. |

VERY soon after.. at least leave a taste of things to come (or some semblance of an 'idea' that leaves me wanting more..) I've been disappointed in the past by movies and shows that I tried hanging onto to "see if it gets better".. but I've been disappointed far too often so just don't bother after the 1st episode IF it doesn't generate SOME positive reaction.. the following for me did just that, left me wanting HUGEly.. so I moved on.. as previously mentioned! I see why they passed.. it'd be like starting a whole new series.. mind you.. they could have called it a 'spin-off' and titled it something else.. like 2nd Unit or Battalion Two... lol I'll have to look for Alcatraz if what you say is true.. we don't get ALL the US shows up my way.. however maybe they'll be on the web somewhere to watch! I'll keep ya posted! |

I'll keep ya posted! They couldn't call it The Unit 2. The show was created after the United States Army's Delta Force which is called The Unit by other service members and the members are called operators. The show was developed, written and produced by one of the founding members of Delta Force. Where are you from? I think Alcatraz isn't played much on TV anymore. There are 14 episodes. If you have Amazon Fire TV you can get it for lie $10.00. It's pretty cool. Basically Alcatraz didn't close in the 1960's, all of the inmates, guards and warden disappeared without explanation. Then they start appearing in this time, they haven't aged a day and there is an FBI unit that has to recapture them and figure out what happened and where they went. |

Did you catch up on Alcatraz yet? I could also recommend Criminal Minds and Criminal Minds Beyond Borders. Two amazing shows.
I also watch Gotham, but it might not be your type of show, but it is amazing! |

I also watch Gotham, but it might not be your type of show, but it is amazing! nope, not yet.. I've been working a lot lately and don't often have time to do the research.. I've got enough shows to keep me busy already though.. I have the entire series of Criminal Minds and the new beyond borders too.. Gary Sinise was awesome in CSI: New York (he's a faved actor so won't miss anything he's in.. for the most part) and even though I really preferred Mandy Patinkin in CM.. it did lose a wee bit of interest for me when he left after season 2.. but the rest of the cast still holds it together.. I'm currently on season 8 of CSI: Vegas and have still the rest of the series and the movie finale before moving onto something else.. Gotham is amazing too.. and although I have the 2nd season, haven't watched it yet.. I started watching Arrow season 4 but they kinda lost me 1/2 way thru.. such repetitive BS as the 'team' falls into a deeper pit of blah.. Castle was good.. and I guess was due to fizzle out at the end of 8 yrs.. I love Nathan Filion as an actor.. really nice guy (literally bumped into him once strolling down the streets of Montreal) we chatted for a few minutes before we both had to move on.. cool though! I loved him most in Serenity.. he's funny, expressive, serious and just an all around nice guy! I think the one I love the most though, and I'm always anxious for more.. is the BBC's Sherlock.. they don't have more than 4 episodes a season, and typically only 1 season every 2 yrs, but MAN can Cumberbatch act the part.. and his side-kick Martin Freeman plays his Watson to perfection.. at least that's my opinion, having watched everything Sherlock... I've very eclectic tastes when it comes to shows though.. from Bones (love forensic type shows that feed the mind with science) too From Dusk Till Dawn(leaning to the macabre).. and Good Witch (clean family fun) to Damien (satanic chiller).. and being an army Brat.. love anything about the military.. anything really.. as long as it catches my attention that is |

I just wasn't impressed.. as it stands.. just keeping up with my regular shows and the new ones coming out.. is keeping me quite busy! |

WOW inspiring! He is also close friends with Criminal Minds actor Joe Mantegna and they together host the annual Memorial Day concert for the troops in Washington D.C. Mr. Mantegna was also one who helped out at that event. He made a personal video for the family and also send a bunch of autographed material to be auctioned off at the fundraiser. If only there were more in Hollywood that would step up like they do. When Gary is not either on one of his shows or making a movie he is raising money for or preforming for the troops. It takes a special man to do that. |
