I expect however that a certain group of politicos will use this tragedy to put another shot across the bow of our Constitution while standing over the graves of the victims.
Over the graves? Hell, the dead are still laying in that nightclub and a state senator, Geraldine Thompson, was just at a press conference blabbering about gun shows and background checks. Their pandering knows no shame.

FYI the shooter was a licensed security guard.

Edit- that last remark was targeted at the state senator not SS....an FYI to any potential post reporters laugh

http://www.breitbart.com/video/2016/04/06/united-west-gays-must-die-says-u-s-islamic-scholar/

(THE UNITED WEST) The United West investigative team uncovered a story so disturbing Field Sutton of Channel 9 news in Orlando, FL broke the story on their newscast.

The Husseini Islamic Center of Sanford, FL invited Sheikh Farrokh Sekaleshfar to speak at their Mosque. Dr. Sekaleshfar says the killing of homosexuals is the compassionate thing to do. In a 2013 speech Sheikh Sekaleshfar said this regarding gays, “Death is the sentence. We know there’s nothing to be embarrassed about this, death is the sentence … We have to have that compassion for people, with homosexuals, it’s the same, out of compassion, let’s get rid of them now.”

When Sheikh Sekaleshfar calls for the death of all homosexuals based on the tenets of Islam it can not be ignored, he is an expert on Shariah Islamiyya or Islamic Law.

Islamic Law also mandates a death sentence for blasphemers and apostates, does Sheikh Sekaleshfar and the Husseini Islamic Center Mosque advocate those legal rulings as well?

Also disturbing to some was the response to this call for killing gays from Rev. Bryan Fulwider of the Interfaith Council of Central Florida.

Rev. Fulwider said, “These issues around homosexuality and the decrying of it or denouncing of it by religion takes away, often, from our really important task of helping our community to be a better community … and wishes congregations would focus more on helping the homeless, poor , and abused instead of persecuting a group that can take care of itself.”

This tepid response from Rev. Fulwider is problematic because he refuses to denounce the Husseini Islamic Center Mosque for promoting a speaker who calls for the murder of homosexuals. Rev. Fulwider can’t even say that calling for the murder of gays is wrong. Fulwider concludes by adding insult to injury, saying don’t worry about the gays they can take care of themselves.

Equally as troubling is the leadership at the Husseini Islamic Center Mosque never condemn or disagree with the words spoken by their speaker about the killing of gays – silence is consent.

how much longer until this Incitement by those Barbarians will have Legal Consequences!mad

Omar Mateen called 911 just before the shooting and pledged allegiance to ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, NBC News reports.

Congressman Adam Schiff, a California Democrat, said in a press release that the attack appears to be an “ISIS-inspired act of terrorism.”

He said Mateen declared his allegiance to ISIS before the assault, according to local law enforcement. Schiff is the ranking member on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and said he received a preliminary briefing on the attack.

“This attack is so painfully reminiscent of the terrible attack at the Batlaclan Theatre in Paris, and other ISIS-inspired attacks in recent years,” Schiff said. “The fact that this shooting took place during Ramadan and that ISIS leadership in Raqqa has been urging attacks during this time, that the target was an LGBT night club during Pride … Whether this attack was also ISIS-directed, remains to be determined.”

The FBI has not confirmed Schiff’s statement.

Local FBI Assistant Special Agent-in-Charge Ron Hopper said at a press conference that there are “suggestions” the gunman “may have leanings” toward Jihadist ideology. Hopper had been asked about whether the shooter was connected to radical Islamic terrorism.

Hopper said they can’t say definitively whether the gunmen is connected to that ideology. He said we’re looking into all angles right now.”

Mateen had a license to be a security office and a firearms license in Florida, according to the state records.

U.S. Rep. Peter King, of New York, told CNN that the gunman was “trained in the use of weapons.”

He worked as a security officer in Port St. Lucie and had a criminal justice degree from a local college. He is pictured wearing NYPD shirts in multiple photos on MySpace, but the NYPD told TMZ that Mateen had no affiliation to the department. The souvenir shirts could be bought at several stores, the NYPD said.

The FBI says the gunman was “organized and well-prepared.” Police have not released further details about the plot or whether anyone else was involved.

Police have asked anyone with information about the shooting and the gunman to come forward.

“If you have some information, no matter how small you think it may be, that would relate back to today’s events, please share it with us,” Hopper said. “I would urge you to call the 1-800-CALL-FBI public access line, we have phones standing by to take any information or lead whatsoever.”

Hopper said they will be conducting interviews and a huge FBI presence will be seen in coming days.

He was late but he finally spoke. A synopsis...

Act of terror
We stand with the LGTB
Guns are too easy to get.

Not a word about radical Islamic attack....despite reports of a 911 call made by the shooter prior to that attack where he pledged allegiance to ISIS.

""The gunman who opened fire at a gay Florida nightclub early Sunday, shooting over 100 people, had called 911 moments before to pledge allegiance to the leader of ISIS, law enforcement sources told NBC News.
Shooter Omar Mateen, 29, appeared to be a follower of ISIS propaganda and referenced the Tsarnaev brothers, who carried out the Boston Marathon bombings in 2013, at the scene, sources said.""

the FBI knew about him for three years before this...

Mateen was a 'known quantity' to federal law enforcement before he killed 53 people in the worst mass shooting in U.S. history.

Comment: Eyewitness Javer Antonetti, 53, was at the club with his brother. He said he was near the back of the club when he heard shots ring out:

"There were so many, at least 40 [shots]. I saw two guys and it was constant, like 'pow, pow, pow'."

Another eyewitness said:

"There had to have been more than one shooter - the shooting was so constant, it sounded like a gun range."

Omar Mateen of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, came to the attention of federal authorities twice prior to being identified as the gunman in the Orlando nightclub mass shooting, a senior law enforcement source told The Daily Beast.

Mateen killed 53 people and shot more than 100 in total at the Pulse gay nightclub early Sunday morning, in the deadliest mass shooting in modern American history.

The senior law enforcement source reports that Mateen became a person of interest in 2013 and again in 2014. The Federal Bureau of Investigation at one point opened an investigation into Mateen but subsequently closed the case when it produced nothing that appeared to warrant further investigation.

"He's a known quantity," the source said. "He's been on the radar before."

Mateen was a U.S. citizen; his parents are from Afghanistan, CBS News reports.

The senior law enforcement source told The Daily Beast that Mateen was born in New York and was married for a time to a woman from New Jersey.

That woman told the Washington Post that he repeatedly abused her during their marraige, which lasted from April 2009 to July 2011.

"He was not a stable person," the ex-wife said. "He beat me. He would just come home and start beating me up because the laundry wasn't finished or something like that."

Mateen was not very religious, she said, adding that he "seemed like a normal human being."

Mateen's father Mir Seddique told NBC News that the sight of two men kissing angered his son.

"We are saying we are apologizing for the whole incident," the father added. "We weren't aware of any action he is taking. We are in shock like the whole country."

The attack, he said, "has nothing to do with religion."

FBI Agent Ron Hopper told reporters Mateen may have had leanings toward Islamic extremism. The law enforcement source told The Daily Beast there is no immediate indication that Mateen had any direct connection to ISIS.

The source did note that ISIS recently declared online that its followers should mount attacks to mark the approach of the holy month of Ramadan.

The message came in an audio recording from spokesman Abu Mohammed al-Adnani, released in May. Muslims around the world fast during Ramadan in honor of the first revelation from God to Muhammad. The terrorist group believes it to be a particularly opportune time for attacks.

"Ramadan, the month of conquest and jihad. Get prepared, be ready...to make it a month of calamity everywhere for the non-believers...especially for the fighters and supporters of the caliphate in Europe and America," Adnani said.

Mateen—who was armed with an AR-15-style assault rifle and a handgun, according to Orlando's police chief—entered Pulse club around 2 a.m. Sunday morning and began shooting. After most of the 320 people there escaped, Mateen took hostages from a group that was hiding in a bathroom. Shortly before 6 a.m., a SWAT unit breached the club and engaged Mateen in what's being called a protracted gun battle. Mateen was killed.

The deadliest single-person mass murder in American history before Orlando occured in Bath, Michigan, in 1927, when a man bombed a school, killing 44 people.

inconsistencies,,, do muslims yell 'god is great'? or 'allah'

does a citizen who pledges allegiance to a terrorist ideal or group automatically commit terrorism or is it expected that a terrorist act involves someone more than allegiant but actually a member of?

did the Swedish boy with a Nazi manifesto who killed those kids a while back get charged with 'terrorism'? ( I honestly do not remember)

is a crime against a group for their lifestyle an act of terrorism or a hate crime? can it be both, or do we have to choose one?

does it matter if one kills gay people because they were brought up christan to belive it wrong or because they were brought up believing someone or something else in believing it was wrong?

what now? do we use a mass shooting to unite in fear/hatred of muslims,, or in fear/hatred of guns?

I do believe a larger percent of mass shootings involve guns than muslims though,,,

It's being reported that he worked for a security firm G4S that has numerous government contracts and should have been fired years ago but it was prevented because he was a Muslim.

This PC BS has got to go.
