Older men and women? To me those are men and women in their 60s and up.

Well, being in the same phase of life so to speak, similar levels of life experience.
The empty nest someone mentioned ... many many men around 50 still have (very young) children at home! No empty nesters at all. Mine have left the nest, 25 and 23 and no way am I going for another family situation. Been there with my ex, hell.
I want someone who's free to enjoy life again. No more worries and chit concerning kids.
