There is something a cat can do that a dog can't do. A cat can purr. That sound is so soothing.

Something else that cats do, the ones I've had - if I'm sitting or lying down, they go up to me and push the top of their head into my body. It's not aggressive, it's loving and friendly.

Latest cat story: I was in bed this morning and heard what sounded like a cat fight outside by my window. I was too cold to get up and around 7am. I got up about 7:30 and looked out the window and saw two big orange cats sitting on the fence by my house. I never saw them before. They hung around for a while. Then 7:30 pm I heard really loud meowing and I went outside, trying to get the cats attention. I think they heard me and they saw me and I saw them. they didn't want to come to me. it was cold out.

That's not the end of it. This afternoon there was a big black and white cat on the side of my yard. Then I was out for a bit today and pulling back into my driveway and saw a different cat walking by. I'm hoping there is not a feral cat colony by my house.
