Is St.George's day in England, celebrating our patron saint, although unlike the Irish, Welsh, and Scots, we aren't allowed to celebrate our national day in fear of upsetting the "minorities", who aren't upset at all and most of them would happily join in with some national celebrations!
For those of you who don't know the "racial" connotations of the England flag, the St.George cross, i will happily explain, to the best of my ability if anyone is interested, but in the meantime, may i wish all my fellow English men, women and children a happy St.George's day to you all. BE ENGLISH, BE PROUD! |

I have to admit that I don't get why you revere him so much, since he was not English and never even set foot on the British Isles.
But on the other hand side ... it means there's hope for me yet. I the UK, and I have in actual fact set foot on English soil, so maybe some day there will be a "Be proud to be English, it's Crystal Day!!" I think that has a much nicer ring to it as well. Of course I would demand there'll be a flag involved too. As for now ... you'll have to make do without me. I know, I know, it's hard ... But Happy St George's Day! |

Well.. We know the truth. It isn't about minorities. That what people are told & some believe. It so the heathen heads don't spin off & explode.. YET Join the campaign to request that ‘Our Day’ be made a public holiday in England so that it can be recognised and celebrated as it should be. There is a forgotten, nay almost forbidden word, which means more to me than any other. That word is England. - Sir Winston Churchill http://www.stgeorgesday.com/ |
