I heard some things about Bill Gates house. Like each door on each room locks. So I did a search. But never did find out if that is true, because I was shocked at what I did read.

So it got me thinking, what would I want? And the most expensive or extravagant thing I could think of was an elevator. Yep.. An elevator w/ a bench so people don't have to use stairs, especially carrying things.

Money no limit? Hey I can dream big.

I would want a access to mass transit with a fully accessible private shuttle and helo pad. I don't care much for owning cars but I would like at least a six car garage with a full second story drivers private quarters so I can have my my own delivery truck, the shuttle van, a small POV, a dully truck, a small fishing boat, and a small RV.

I would have a formal living room to receive people in, that had a huge walk in guest coat closet, and least a fair size collection of Native American and Cowboy art. I like leather, cowhide, natural alpaca, and natural wool textures and would like to have a collection of depression glass with carved furniture and a fully working loom and needlework stand. And and extensive collection of antique needlework tools.

And a huge casual family room with fireplace and full soda fountain, pizza oven, 50 gallon aquarium, a pool table, a jukebox, and lots of really plush comfy furniture that is easy height to get up from for about fifty people. Numerous lift chairs game coffee tables, and a floor plan that is invisibly wheelchair friendly; as will be the entire home and grounds. Including having visually pleasing but tactile signage and railing on all garden displays an rooms and buildings so no one has to struggle to get around. I would have probably a dozen peddle carts and an equal number of solar charged mobility carts to make getting around easy for guests or staff for special events.

The ,ain house would have at least two dozen second story bedroom suites (to accommodate my big family) of at least 500 square feet with ten foot ceilings. All have computer desks with internet hook up, light activated silent phones, floor to ceiling windows with interior mini blinds, ceiling vented ventilation, indirect and high intensity spot lighting, and in floor/wall vacuuming and bedside water taps. All furniture will me solid wood with "green" finishes and 100% cotton fabrics; no foam. All beds will be silent adjustable California king and each have at least two fully reclining silent swivel rockers. All floors will have fully washable surfaces and temperature control. Lots of inlaid wood and tile; no carpet. Each bedroom will have a full bathrooms with separate toilet/sink closets and touch-less fixtures, Stain glass windows for privacy, heated towel bars and silent air dryers and invisible cabinets for cleaning supplies. Each bedroom will have a walk in dressing closet with full length mirrors and a pressing board and all wood hangers and benches and a stackable washer dryer. Each bedroom would have waste deep easy step in or lift tub and shower combinations with inline water heater and pure filters so all water is chemical free to drink or bath. Each bedroom will have a dining table and a small kitchen wardrobe for in room snacks or meals.

The main house would have and hacienda style around and enclosed "quiet" garden with a fountain and aviaries and intimate tea tables tucked in for solitary times.

There would be a full size heated Olympic pool and exercise equipment that has access from the private yard area and exterior glass elevator access at the end of the opposing bedroom wing.

The kitchen will be a full five star chef kitchen with a massive fully stocked pantry and walk-in refrigeration as well as a greenhouse herb and "salad/veggie" hydrophoinc garden and both fresh and salt water fish tanks. There would be comfortable intimate small group dining in the kitchen and a eat at bar off the prep island but also access to another massive patio with wide walkways to gardens that can extend dining area with shaded gazebos with folding doors for sit down meals for eight or mini meetings even emergency bunkhouses.

I would have a Chapel gazebo for weddings, baptisms, and memorials.

The grounds would have and extensive rose, berry, and flower garden and a in ground watering system and solar panels that shade walk ways to a fully accessible therapeutic playground, baseball diamond, badminton and basket ball courts and soccer field with a patio water fountain to play in and as many variety of trees as possible.

I would have a working greenhouse for larger landscaping plants, my favorite small pets and birds, and ample space to shelter guests pets, plus have a chicken house and a small number of milk goats.

And there will be a huge full pit fireplace to accommodate "bbqing" full beef and hogs. Heck while I am at it a small smoke house. lol

And a separate formal dining area that will seat and serve up to two hundred people at refractory tables that could clear to be a dance floor. There would be ceiling to floor library stacks between more windows and a grand piano and full sound system. .

I would require a Private Master suite but I like to support community groups and would love to be able to share my home even while I lived in it.

I would want to leave a working estate that would help deserving homeless emancipated foster children to continue their education.

an Island would be nice, where i would be king, emperor, and a god all at once... but since i don't like people, i would be the only one there... except for a few slaves...someone has to build my pyramid...

Me, too. The island is overrun by Englishmen and other vermin, but its Scottish neighbors to the north are a pleasant lot.

* A self sustaining camouflaged bunker with a top of the line research laboratory would be my "shangri la". I may allow a few open minded "mad" explorers (scientist) to visit from time-to-time, only to droll over my facilities.

LOL I went to sleep dreaming about my shared paradise and forgot to add a full scale artists workshop with painting supplies, wood working, pottery wheel, welder and glass blowing set up and a comprehensive sewing pantry with and extensive collection of fabrics, beads and gems, and yarns. A design and cutting tables several work stations and "tools" galore so all my friends can come over and play and or be creative. And I would commission artists/gardeners/musicians/craftsmen to create so that would renew the greater community.

And in the garden area I would have and extensive collection of guitars, flutes, and drums so music could be for everyone.
