Topic: MEGA Rich | |

i think i'm more of a warren buffet kinda guy. Warren buffet is a tool. oh, please! do elucidate and enlighten us. Oh, you know, a tool, like a profile with no pic or a profile with nothing to say. You know a tool. oh, yes... i DO know a tool. apparently i have to explain to him that warren buffet, despite his great wealth, remains in the relatively modest home he and his wife have shared and raised a family in for the past 58 years; and that my brief comment suggested that on MY mega rich property i'd prefer more of a frederick law olmstead approach than the bill gates type compound. as for your concern over the absence of imagery in my profile... here ya go, sweetheart. |

Besides my elevator.
I want an outdoor kitchen (Like Paula Dean's old house in South Carolina). I thought about my own chopper.. But, every time I would see a police or news chopper.. I would follow it, for a thread idea. I can hear it now over bullhorns " Please Ms Sassy, we can handle it, go home & ride your elevator". |

nothing wrong with an outdoor kitchen.

Me, too. The island is overrun by Englishmen and other vermin, but its Scottish neighbors to the north are a pleasant lot. Wash your mouth out David We gave you North America, show some gratitude |

Rolex, simple refined elegant beauty, and British of course Rolex SA and its subsidiary Montres Tudor SA design, manufacture, distribute and service wristwatches sold under the Rolex and Tudor brands. Wikipedia CEO: Jean-Frederic Dufour Founded: 1905, London, United Kingdom Headquarters: Geneva, Switzerland Founders: Alfred Davis, Hans Wilsdorf and Wilsdorf was originally German! you ran Wilsdorf out with high Taxes! http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=99281 <<<<<<<<<< Hans Wilsdorf (March 22, 1881 - July 6, 1960) was a German watchmaker, and the founder of noted watch brands Rolex and Tudor. Born in Kulmbach, Germany and orphaned as a child, Wilsdorf worked for a Swiss watch manufacturer in La Chaux-de-Fonds. In 1905, he moved to London and set up his own business, wanting to provide quality timepieces at affordable prices. With his brother-in-law, Alfred Davis, he founded a watch importing firm called Wilsdorf & Davis, and partnered with Hermann Aegler, a watch manufacturer in Bienne to import wristwatches.[1] In 1908, he created the Rolex brand under which to sell his watches, and during World War I, he left England for Switzerland due to wartime tax increases levied on luxury imports. In 1920, he established Montres Rolex S.A. in Bienne. The name "Rolex" was given because it is easily pronounceable in many languages. It was also short enough to fit on the face of his watches. Wilsdorf ultimately moved his company to Geneva in 1919.[2] By the start of World War II Royal Air Force pilots were buying Rolex watches to replace their inferior standard-issue watches. However, when captured and sent to POW camps, their watches were confiscated. When Wilsdorf heard of this, he offered to replace all watches that had been confiscated and not require payment until the end of the war, if the officers would write to Rolex and explain the circumstances of their loss and where they were being held. Wilsdorf was in personal charge of the scheme. Wilsdorf also established the high-quality, lower-priced watch brand Tudor, a subsidiary company of Rolex in 1946. Upon the death of his wife in 1944, he established the Hans Wilsdorf Foundation, to which he left all of his shares in Rolex, making sure that an amount of the company's income would go to charity. The company remains a foundation to the present day. Wilsdorf died in Geneva on July 6, 1960.WIKI |
